First impressions mean everything: I made an appointment for 3 private dance lessons directly with Instructor, Wes, over a week ago to start at 1pm today. Wanted a sooner appointment but thought it would be worth the wait to go to Studio 22. Just want to learn to dance free style as never learned how to dance. When I went for my appointment, the Studio 22 staff had double booked Wes with another appointment. No one called me to cancel or reschedule. Was told by Wes he could possibly see me at 2pm & staff would call me to confirm. At 150pm when I had not heard from staff, I called to find out he could not see me at 2pm but could see me at 6pm. Ruined my excitement and my Saturday! Esther called saying no other instructor could see me except Wes at 6pm. I said I would think about it. Esther calls back minutes later to say that I have to let them know about the 6pm in an hour! What nerve after I showed up at 1pm to a cancelled appointment & the 2pm appointment Wes had never even confirmed! I am being treated like I had no value... Wow, does Studio 22 treat all their clients like they no value when we are paying $70 an hour? I asked that the two owners be texted to call me but Esther would not contact them. Esther said she was in charge now. Then, she said a manager would call me later when she gets in. I doubt anyone calls, and I am not sure how Studio 22 can make this right, however, I will post again with update. 08/14/16 No one from Studio 22 contacted me yesterday as promised. Youre just a number to them and they are not interested in treating people as they deserve. If you are paying, you deserve respect!

My husband and I took lessons at Studio 22 in preparation for our wedding. We started out taking a few of the classes in different styles to try a few things and ended up getting along really well with the swing instructors Maya and Cody. Maya worked with us on learning Jitterbug for our first dance. We didnt want a choreographed routine but we wanted to have a few moves to throw in moving about the dance floor. She was great about breaking the moves down and coming up with different ways to explain things if we were struggling and we really looked forward to our lessons. However, she really went above and beyond as we got closer to the wedding. My dad really wanted us to waltz for our father daughter dance but he lives out of state so there was no way for us to practice together and he was taking lessons at a studio near him. Maya was great at communicating, finding out what he was learning up there so she could teach us the same moves and we were able to schedule an appointment with her a few days before the wedding so she could help us work through any of the disconnects. We just got our wedding video back and we are all so proud at not only how great the dancing was but also how relaxed, confident and happy we look. I highly recommend Maya for private lessons if youd like to wow at an upcoming event! The studio is also great and is always putting on fun events, we just joined them for a West Coast Swing lesson down in Deep Ellum as part of the Reimagine Crowdus project and had a blast - perfect date night!

Every one makes New Years Resolutions, myself included, personally I’d rather make one that is fun to do, easy to keep and improves me as a person. So I decided to stop thinking about it, take action, and to learn to dance. If you have lived in Dallas for any time you know that everyone wants to impress you with credentials thinking that people won’t look farther than that. But it’s the quiet confident ones that you want to seek out to really experience what something is about. Lucky Studio 22 has both of these in excess. It’s their passion for teaching others and to continue honing/sharpening their craft that set their classes apart from all others. Don’t have a partner don’t worry, plenty of friendly people are there that only want to learn to dance. There were a million different thoughts running through my mind when I stepped through the doors for the first time. But from the energy and excitement that starts with the smiling faces at the front desk, to the other slightly nervous people wondering what we just walked into, ending with the outgoing helpfulness of the regulars allowed all those doubts to vanish quickly. With lot’s of welcoming people of all abilities that just want to dance, plenty of opportunities to go out and put what you have learned in action. This is truly a dance and social club for any dance style and all abilities.

We have been with Studio 22 for the last couple of years and have enjoyed our experience there tremendously. Studio 22 offers a warm and friendly environment that embraces students/dancers of all levels, from the truly beginner to the most advanced. Their vast array of group classes cover dance genres from country and western to argentine tango, west coast swing to salsa, american rhythm and smooth to international standard and latin so the options to try different dance styles are numerous. It is a wonderful place for social dancing. If you are interested in competitive dancing, Studio 22s highly knowledgeable and experienced instructors can teach you the skills and give you the guidance to reach your goals. Dance parties and social events are regularly held at the studio as well as showcase performances and outings which offer you many opportunities to dance and gain friendships along the way. It is all of the above and more that make Studio 22 truly unique. If you are seeking a professional dance studio that is lead by knowledgeable and caring instructors, friendly staff, and warm camaraderie of fellow students, then look no further than Studio 22.

I have been going to Studio 22 for 6+ years and its honestly the best dance studio I have been to in The DFW area after trying others. They have high quality instructors and lessons, who have competed professionally and will help you improve in your dancing whether you are dancing socially, competitively, or a performer. I have private lessons that are affordably priced and high quality instructions that helped me improve whether I am performing or competiting. Their group classes , parties and mixers are fun, relaxing, and you learn a lot. Michelle and Sergey (the studio owners) are always fair, friendly, and understanding and always professional. So are all the rest of the instructors and staff I have met and dealt with from their manager Molly to their front desk workers.
