The staff at Carter Funeral Home are the best people I have ever delt with. My dad passed on 9/20/11 and they had him ready for the viewing on 9/23/11. Diana worked 1 on 1 with my mom and I to get my dads DD214 so he could have an Air Force send off. We told her what we wanted and she made it all happen. We gave her the insurance companys contact info and she took care of all of that. Then on 10/6/11 my grandfather passed and Diana took care of everything again. There was another funeral home we went to first and they wanted to charge us over double what Diana charged, and only offered packages so if there was something in the package we didnt need they just said well it comes with it. I have never seen a more caring group of people in my life. I highly recomend Carter Funeral Home. They also go above and beyond and hold a memorial service every year around December for the families that lost loved ones through out the year to meet and celebrate the life of their loved ones. Most places forget about you until you call for their services again

I would not waste my time with this funeral home. The people are extremely rude and inconsiderate during your time of need, and I for one was completely appalled at the way my aunts arrangements were handled. The night of the viewing while we were still saying our goodbyes, they came in to inform us that they were suppesed to close twenty minutes ago. Also, when my grandmother and I arrived and asked to be put in with the family for the funeral procession, they told us we should have been there earlier and that they would try to help us out later, and they never did. Furthermore, on the day of the funeral immediately after the service, instead of giving us a little time to say our final goodbyes, they closed the casket. Also, the owners are very unprofessional in thier hawaiian shirts and ponytails. If I were you I would look around for a more professional and considerate place to help with your loved ones passing, so you dont have the regrets that my family currently suffer from.

Carter Funeral Home handled both of my parents funerals ... 5 years apart. (2009 & 2014) My mom passed away at home under hospice care. They met with us at the house to make the arrangements. 3 days later, when mom passed & we called them, they arrived very quickly. They handled themselves very professionally and were very compassionate. In 2014, my father suffered a choking incident. Despite all the work done on him by the paramedics and others, the lack of oxygen proved to be too much. We removed him from life support & made tentative arrangements with Carter Funeral Home. Bless the staff and their understanding. Diana Carter was & is a jewel to work with. It took a week for my father to pass away but they were ready to go as soon as they were notified. Ive also attended other funerals in their facility. Never have I seen or heard them be anything but caring, compassionate & understanding people.

WAY more expensive than the exact same thing anywhere else. Almost 1,700 JUST to cremate remains w/o coffin or urn or ANYTHING else. This review will be gone before the day is out
