We lost my mother on October 3. From the moment we walked it Matthew Godfrey made us feel comfortable and assured that everything would be taken care of. Unfortunately, we have had a few family deaths in the recent years. This was, by far, the hardest one to face. Paradoxically, Matthew is also the BEST Funeral Director we have ever worked with. From dealing with some family issues, to florist mistakes, and an ever changing program, Matthew made sure that we never had reason for concern. His total focus was on our immediate family and ensuring that everything went as we wanted. We never felt pressured for time or a "standard way" to do things. I also appreciated his former guidance when we just didnt know what to do. Finally, we were positively blown away with the amazing way that my mom looked. She looked like he was just sleeping and he even dyed her hair to match the photo we gave him. I could go on and on about all of the small things that Matthew did. Overall, he has been and continues to be a point of support for my family. He is a true gold standard in his profession.

Didnt get a chance to write a review before, but we had our funeral services and burial arrangements held here for my father who recently passed. It was a tough time as this was the first time I had to plan something like this. I knew nothing about funeral arrangements and how everything worked what you could and couldnt do. thanks to the help of Matthew Godfrey who helped me and my brother plan everything out and even helped us by being the bad guy for us which I loved. At a time like this you dont realize how bad you dont want to be bothered Matthew gave us his personal cell phone number to hand out so that if anyone had questions about the services they could talk to him about it and he could handle it. Ive never been the type to write a review but this funeral home deserves it!! Also, a special thank you to Michael Garcia for helping us the day of our services and for all the help of the staff at San Jacinto what a great team!!!

The fact that Matthew requested a review from our family is clear evidence of his lack of compassion and concern for familys in their time of need. Any human with an ounce of compassion or even any concern for his job would have remembered the meeting with our family and would have never requested a review from us, but he did so here we go. We found him to be rude, argumentative, condescending, unsympathetic, cold, uncaring, abrupt, and an all around jerk. After about an hour with him we asked that he be replaced with another funeral director. If we didnt already have a prepaid funeral plan we would have left and gone somewhere else, but we were trapped which could explain the way Matthew treated us.

I want to thank Matthew Godfrey for his exceptional customer service. He listened to our concerns regarding the timely removal of old flowers from my parents graves. He promised to mark his calendar to have them removed after an appropriate time had passed, and he kept his word by removing the old flowers. Not only did he remove the flowers as promised, he telephoned me as well as texted a picture of the headstone showing that the flowers had been removed. This kept my parents graves looking neat and well kept. The world needs more people like Matthew, who care about the families he serves and who keeps their word. Matthew handled our concerns in a professional and caring manner. Thank you, Matthew!

I live out of state and required assistance from the Memorial Park staff because I am taking over the care of my relatives gravesites from far away. Angie O assisted me and she provided excellent service. Her services included providing resources for graveside florals and looking up the location and numbers of multiple family gravesites. She provided additional services by driving to the grave sites to see if the markers had vases. She exceeded my expectations by texting me photos of the grave sites so I could visually see their condition and presentation. The receptionist was also appropriately friendly, polite and courteous. They both demonstrated caring, compassion and professionalism.

My family lost my grandmother very unexpectedly, and San Jacinto Funeral Home & Memorial Park were so amazingly helpful at this very difficult time. It has been about a month and Matthew and Angie are still so incredibly helpful. From the beginning, they have truly been a comfort to us. My grandmothers birthday was about a week ago and when we visited her, Angie was still there to comfort us. Matthew has emailed to check on us and it has truly been comforting to know that such amazing people were with us to lay my grandmother to rest. I would absolutely recommend anyone who is in need of funeral services to consider San Jacinto as the way to go. The service was beautiful.

As I never thought this horribly sad day would hit home and id have to bury my baby. I would like to thank Matthew Godfrey for his extended support on my familys sudden tragic loss, he was so compassionate and caring. Matthew made the process smooth. And he made sure my daughter & the service were on point and in order. My daughters service was beautifully arranged, Matthew made this possible. Although I am still emotionally not prepared for seeing my daughter go, Matthew gave a listening ear, hugs and showed 100% compassion and support. Awesome personality, Matthew made me feel like a close friend not a client. Thanks again Matthew. Thanks.

I highly recommend San Jacinto Memorial Park. We recently lost my grandmother. She and my late grandfather already had plots at San Jacinto Memorial Park. Working with Michael Garcia and Angie Ojeda was such a pleasure. These two compositionally walked us through the process during a time when we were desperately grieving. Their professionalism and sympathetic nature allowed us to create such a beautiful representation of our sweet grandmother’s life. We were comforted by the fact that the entire staff was so caring. Their attention to every detail was amazing. Thank You to Michael Garcia, Angie Ojeda, Ryan, Sylvia, Bob and Cynthia.

08/21/16 A very sad day for us at the San Jacinto Funeral Home. We lost a loved one, my older cousin Felix Adrian Rivera, he was 27 years of age with less than a month before his 28th. He taught me a lot on how to view life and how to live it. He was the BEST. Of course it was such a hard day but thanks to the help of the funeral home members Matthew the director, Nidia Andrade and Ryan just to name a few were very very helpful to us, they made it all possible and all worth while. Personally I recommend this funeral home for the lost of loved ones. RIP cousin I love you.

My mother had pre-arranged cremation before she passed away. When we lost mom I contacted the funeral home and got Matthew. I was so glad he was our point of contact. From the beginning he was caring and always referred to mom as if she was a friend. He took care of all the little details including loaning us an urn for the memorial service as the one we ordered has not arrived in time. Every little detail was thought of. I highly recommend Matthew if you need service, he is considerate, efficient and caring. He made a very difficult time tolerable for us.
