I know a lot of people go to staff agencies to find work quickly and if youre in the Denver area, I would not recommend this company. Ive dealt with some terrible agencies, but this place is either filled with people who dont talk to each other or liars. They promised me temp to hire and that didnt happen, at all. I dont want to call them liars, but after getting off with the phone after filing unemployment, Im seriously starting to wonder. At the Denver branch, theyre not very forthcoming and honest. Sometimes, I wonder if they purposefully tell you things for you to take a job. Firstly, their recruiter is notorious for telling employees that they will be hired on after 90 days. After one assignment and working at least 100 days, I contacted my recruiter to see what was up, and I was told the company had no plans to hire on anyone. Mind you, I took an apartment after 60 days working at this company, completely convinced I was going to be hired on. I was doing very well, there were no issues at the client. The second client I worked at, not only was I promised it was temp to hire, but the wage was a dollar less than stated. The first day I walked into my second assignment, I was immediately told by the supervisor that I was a temporary employee, until they found someone else. I then contacted my recruiter and told them I was interested in other assignments provided, since this company was not sure how long I was going to be there. A week into the assignment, I learned that the wage was actually a dollar less; my supervisor then promised me that it was going to be 15 an hour, regardless. Many of the people at this assignment were sent by Clear Choice and even said they went through a similar experience of their recruiter telling them theyd be hired on after 90 days. I was alarmed with this, so I spoke to the supervisor and told him that the recruiter said it was temp to hire. Because there was also an issue with the wage being less than stated, he included that with his feedback of the recruiter. I am grateful, despite the circumstances, that this supervisor was understanding of my situation. A day later, I was contacted by my recruiters supervisor, who was extremely dismissive, even downright an apologist for the recruiters flaky behavior and discrepancies. Her tone was argumentative and aggressive, while I tried to explain that was not fair to their employees, and because of the wage being less than promised and my previous assignment ending, I was being put through a great deal of financial duress. I didnt see much of a change with this firm, but my supervisor at my temp assignment continued to be supportive and understanding when I informed him that I would continue to look and would try to have something in line by the time I was hired on elsewhere. As of today, I have gotten off the phone with my Department of Labor to learn that the recruiter I worked with has told them that this position was temp to hire at my last assignment -- its not. Because of the inconsistencies, the fall out of communication here, I am genuinely left wondering if this recruiter gets a commission or something for people to take up jobs. I dont have anything, I have contacted them repeatedly for work, they dont have anything. They keep trying to present me jobs less than I need in order to, quite frankly, need to live.
