I really love this gym. Ive been a member for two and half years from what I remember. Everything is organized and clean. The only thing that is really disappointing to me is that it gets very crowded in the free weights area. Most of the time people are just standing around socializing. I dont know why they cant just go to the area where you can sit down and socialize there instead of being in the way of other people that are trying to workout. I mean thats why people go to the gym right? To workout, not to socialize the whole time. Yesterday I went to the Houston Texans YMCA gym to get my workout in and I saw that it was very crowded as always and I saw kids horse playing pretending to fight and just being in the way. Someone can really get injured like that. I had to leave early because there wasnt enough space for me to workout and it was hard for me to breathe. I honestly think that the manager, staff members, and trainers should really take care of that before someone gets hurt. Thats the only problem I have with this gym. Everything else is great, but they should really change that.

Ive never been to a gym where the staff was so friendly and caring. We just started attending and they know us all by name already and are very helpful. They remember what you tell them and follow up on anything necessary. My boys LOVE the Summer Camp Program and Childrens Play Room. They ask daily to go to the "Y." Its also always clean and neat. We havent taken advantage of any of their group classes yet, but they have a wide variety for EVERY age. I cant wait to check one out! As a parent and as someone getting back into exercising, I cannot say enough nice things about this YMCA or their staff. They actually make me feel like going and keeping up with my new regiment. I dont think I can say that about any other gym Ive ever attended.
