Im usually very picky about my hair dresser. I always choose Japanese hair dresser to cut mine, because the Japanese really know how to cut my hair with beautiful layers. When I moved to Houston from San Francisco 2 years ago and hunt for a good salon, I was pretty skeptical about Innovative salon, because I always go to a very expensive salon when I was in SF, but I chose Innovative salon because it is the closest one from my house. "Well it doesnt hurt to try... you can always find another salon if you dont like this one", thats what I told myself. So I went there, and I chose James to cut my hair and my husband loves it. The price is actually really cheap for the good job that hes done. I always have to pay at least $70-$100 for the Japanese Salon just to cut my hair, but at Innovative salon is only $40. And this morning, James called me and told me that he wants to give me 50% discount so I only have to pay $20+tips (always a good tip for a great hair dresser like James). Seriously I recommend James to cut your hair. Good job, good service and reasonable price :)

I went in several months ago, in May, and got an absolutely amazing cut by Christina. I am with the other 2 reviewers who commented on her skills! She was GREAT! I have very thick and long hair and I always feel uncomfortable by stylists comments "oh wow, you have a lot of hair" or "have you ever thought about cutting your hair short", it would make me feel like I was burdening them. Anyway, Christina handled my hair like a PRO. Its obvious she has many years of experience. I just WISH she was still there - which is why I am giving this place 2 stars. The people are nice, its clean and its close to me but unfortunately the rest of the stylists dont measure up to her level of experience. I visited the salon again in Sept just to get an updo done and was disappointed. They got the job done eventually, but it took 3-4 stylists to do it. If anyone knows how to get in contact with Christina PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post her info, shes the best stylist Ive seen in years! If Christina was still at this salon it would definitely get all 5 stars.

I came across Innovative Looks while going to the AMC. I normally go somewhere in River Oaks or Uptown Galleria but its really too far for me to drive since I live in Northwest Houston. I am very nervous whenever I have my hair cut and picky about who does it. Judith who is also the Director is my hairdresser. She not only has cut and styled my hair but added blond highlights. Many years ago I was a professional actress and had my hair styled for the stage and camera by the best, including celebrity hairstylist Jose Eber who created Farrah Fawcetts famous hairstyle. I would put Judith in the same category. She is a true Master unlike others who call themselves that. When she gets done with me I feel like I did 25 years ago! In fact, one of my friends told me I looked like a Europeon fashion model! And she is a lovely person. I highly recommend Judith and her entire team.

I found this pace because all the bookings for my hair stylist at visible changes were full. I loved the reviews, but I was still spectacle on how many good reviews they had. I said heck let me give them a try. Booking an appointment was easy, super friendly and informative. I had booked an appointment with ANGELES. The minute I walked in the door I noticed there wasnt much of a place to sit but it didnt matter because as soon as I checked in Angela greeted me and asked me in detail about my preferences and what kind of hair cut I was looking at getting, the type of hair I had whether it was oily dry or in between. To make this short I absolutely fell in love with the place and Angela for making it such an amazing experience. I left the place knowledgeable, and I definitely will be bring my daughter soon. LOVED MY HAIR!!

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Rachel at front desk is very friendly and welcoming. Then Jimmy took care of my hair! He is fantastic. Great communicator and truly knows what he is doing. My hair looks and feels fabulous thanks to him. He truly went the extra mile to take care of me and share his knowledge so that I can continue the care of my hair at home :) I highly recommend this place because of these two wonderful people. The salon was also clean and had great products (which I also ended up getting after Jimmy explained and used them on me) GREAT experience! Thank you so much for making my spontaneous hair visit so wonderful :) I will be back again.

After reading reviews and going in for some long bangs to feel them out(last few places I want I was super unhappy) . My beauty consultant was Kiara and she was wonderfully professional , sweet and really skilled. I cant emphasize how skilled she is. Im a nightmare customer with hair salons I admit but our hair is our pride and joy and the first thing people see when they meet you. BUT i felt very comfortable with trusting her with my hair from the very first two sentences she responded with. She sold me on getting layers(which is what I really wanted) instantly. You just have to meet her to understand how wonderful the experience was. Thank you Kiara Ill be back !

I have been to see James 4 times now and each time I have left with a wonderful color and/or highlights. He is sought after, so make your appt well in advance as he is a master colorist.He also does wonders with scissors and I have never been disappointed with the cut he tells me he thinks I should have, because I can never make up my mind and he tells me what he thinks would be appropriate for me. I love the salon. Its always clean and the staff is so friendly and outgoing. Very helpful and patient. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone who appreciates todays style and design.

I found a Group On looked up reviews....The only thing I was disappointed about was I hadnt found Innovation Hair Salon earlier. I was trying to grow out a color my ombre had a bit too much gray...lol. I was ready for a change, found the perfect place. Joe was great to work with. Cristina was an expert, good communication, funny and damn she has skills. I love my color and its been a long time since I found someone that has the right cutting skills. I got a deal and found my new stylist and salon, Awesome its worth trying!

I Had the worst experience!!! Yes just like you I read the reviews before going most of the reviews are lies!!! These people dont know what they are doing! I went to get my hair colored to a nice blonde but instead I ended up with an egg yellow hair and 220.00 charge!!! The lady Judith wanted to charge me more money to keep bleaching my hair!!!! 3 times they bleached it!!! They ruined my hair!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT GO IF YOU DONT WANT TO END UP WITH FRIED HAIR!!!! I WAS SOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
