Ive been a loyal customer to Cruz Electric for the past six years, until now. My latest experience with them is that their service men are incompetent and not willing to go the extra mile to find the root of the problem, but would rather upsell you equipment that you dont need. Here is why my family will never use nor recommend Cruz Electric. My downstairs Unit quit working, so they sent Randy out. I paid the $85 service fee and he told me that my Nest thermostat was bad. I threw out the Nest thermostat, because Randy said it was faulty, and bought a $40 one from Lowes and put it in myself, and the AC worked for about two weeks before stopping. I called Cruz and they sent Randy out again. He told me that my transformer and circuit board needed replaced and there was no way my AC would run without it. He even put in one of their touch screen thermostats thinking that would solve the problem and never put mine back on. Then he gave me a quote for $1,055. I had another company come out the next day. Turns out a wire was shorting going to the outdoor unit. They fixed it and my downstairs AC works perfectly, and all I had to pay was their service fee. The following day I called Trent, the service manager, and explained to him how incompetent his service guy was and how I felt that I should be refunded my service fee as well as given a Nest thermostat since it wasnt faulty at all. He apologized and said he would call me back later that evening because he wanted to make it right. I never heard from him, and that day the service guy Randy came and picked up the touch screen thermostat and he left. Cruz Electric was not thorough and tried to charge me not only $1,055 for a transformer and circuit board just to get my system to run, as well as trying to sell me an entire new unit for $8,000, when that was entirely unnecessary. I will not use Cruz again nor ever recommend them.

I called Cruz Electric to come and determine what my electrical problem was. Adam came by was VERY professional and courteous. My problem was relatively small and easy to resolve. My house is almost 30 years old and the circuits cant handle the loads todays technology demands. I asked for a couple of extra circuits to be added to handle the extra load. I was promised that they would be back the next day. An emergency came up for them and I was put on the back burner and eventually I was asked if they could come back the next day first thing to do the work. It is a good thing my job allows me to be home like this. All in all, I like Cruz Electric and will use them again in the future. They are professional and honest, I can trust them not to sell work that is not needed if my wife needs them when I am not home. I still have other major work that needs to be done and they will be the first I call. They just need to work on what they promise and what they can do.

Cruz Air & Electric was recommended by a neighbor for a home generator installation. I contacted them to get an estimate. I was told they would be there between 1pm - 3pm the follow day. I took the afternoon off, but nobody came by during the given time window. I called the office at 5pm and was told there and been an emergency and could the come by between 9am - 10am the next day. (maybe the emergency was their phones didnt work). I stayed home the next morning. Again, nobody showed up. I called at 10:30AM and was told "Hes enroute now". At noon, nobody still had shown up. (Again, maybe he was coming from another part of the state "enroute" and there were no phones working anywhere). I called at noon and told them to forget it!! 8 hours of my life - GONE. I wouldnt do business with this company if THEY paid ME!

I personally visited this company to make an appointment to have 3 recess lights repaired. My appointment was scheduled for Nov 24,2014. No one showed up for the appointment or called to say that they could not make it. I even called to confirm my appointment was for that day and time. I returned to the business to see why no one came by or called and I must say the young lady at the front desk was very apologetic . She again confirmed that i did have an appointment for that day and time but did not know why no one showed up. I scheduled a second appointment for Jan 29, 2015. On that day the technician showed up almost 3 hours late. I told the company that their technician could leave and that i would take my business elsewhere.

Had an emergency (a/c went out at 9 pm middle or Texas summer, 80° in my house) Called for after hours help, operator informed me a technician would call me with in 30 minutes....no call, I called the operator again and was informed the tech would call me with in another 30 minutes. NO CALL! I have 3 children (young children) and if it werent for them, I wouldnt be so persistent. But what is the point of an after hours if youre not even going to call or show up?

I have a one yr. old a/c unit from Cruz...It had a series of problems and Cruz tried several times to fix it with no luck...;Finally they just replaced the evap.coil at no cost. Great! Exceeded my expectations. The residents are happy campers (and cool)

These guys are AMAZING! It was a HOT summer & our air went out. They worked in a thunderstorm to get the job done. Very easy to work with and very professional. I have a happy family because our upstairs AC works!!!

Fantastic results with air balancing the guys from Cruz did on duct work in my house. Randy is extremely knowledgeable about requirements for air balancing. Im more comfortable than Ive been since moving in.

I called after hours and the on call technician came and had it fixed in under 2 hours. Very friendly and gave me a lot of advice on the unit. I definitely suggest their service.

Overfilled my A/C with coolant, very bad. A/C hasnt been the same since. Charged me $300 to do so....Dislike! The tech was very friendly though.
