In 2007, Ilgen wired my new house in West University months prior to my purchase. During the mechanical inspection, it was discovered they had put five bathrooms all on one 20 amp service. I told the builder and Ilgen that was unacceptable, because 10 or 12 girls having a Prom party spread across the five bathrooms with curling irons and hair dryers would quickly blow the circuit. I insisted the change the wiring to separate 20 amp circuits for each bathroom. Electricians reply, "it was per code". Well, what about good judgment in an expensive home? Also, I just discovered Ilgen didnt properly finish the 240 VAC electrical outlet behind my stove, see attached picture. With all this hidden issues not being addressed properly, makes me wonder what else they cut corners on to save a few dollars or time.

I read the previous review with interest because we are having difficulties with this company as well. They installed our outside generator (expensive house as well) and they wired the generator to the wrong rooms. We have been unable to get them to come out and inspect and fix the incorrect wiring for about three months now. I am very frustrated and hoping that we can get this fixed before we have the next hurricane

Ilgen Electric was contracted by builder and did all original electric work in our new home. They were happy to service a few items after we moved in such as changing out a few light fixtures. Very friendly repairmen - very knowledgeable.

They did the original electrical work as hired by our builder. They are rude and arrogant. My guess is they know what they are doing but they are not service oriented. Very disappointing.
