t I am furious with McKinney Dance Academy and I would like for you all to avoid the mistakes I made. First off, the dance course was not very good. It bored my preschooler and I had to force her to go into the room to participate. My primary complaint; however, is that they apparently have a 30 day written cancellation policy that is unrealistic and not very clear. I believe I may have signed something when I swiped my card that I assumed with two toddlers in tow was a typical one page credit card authorization. I have not seen it since, but they say it says we must give 30 days written notice to withdrawal from a class. We paid for and attended (painstakingly) for the first half of the year. I told the teacher we were not coming back in the spring. I called to request a refund of the $40 we paid for half of the costume for a June recital only to find out that not only was I not getting the unused costume prepayment back, but they also planned to charge me for January. While they may have some fine print language somewhere, I believe this practice to be deceptive and unkind. They have threatened me with small claims court, so I will probably be stuck with the fee, but I will never go back and I will be sure to let everyone I know know of their poor customer service.

I enrolled my daughter in this academy based on good reviews, but unfortunately I started to doubt about who wrote the reviews. This place is so dirty and the teacher was not very friendly or approachable at all. The recital, which I was expecting to be amazing, was a disaster. It was very disorganized and unprofessional. Few years ago my oldest daughter had a recital in another school and it was a dream. I was very dissapointed with this one. It does have very good credentials instructors and the price is awesome, but I really prefer to pay a little bit more for better service and more cleanless. The parking lot is very small; sometimes it was no parking space.

My daughter has been dancing at McKinney Dance Academy for 5 years now and we absolutely love it! Not only does she get to work with knowledgeable and caring teachers on a daily basis, she has also had the opportunity to work with guest choreographers/teachers from across the country. We are so grateful to have found MDA and all of its wonderful dance instructors that are now like a second family to us!

My daughter attends the hip hop 2 and jazz 2 class at MDA. She looks forward to it every week and wants to take more classes! The staff have always been very helpful and friendly whenever Ive needed something. I especially like that they make it a point to walk around the room and address each dancer to help or givetips if needed, or even just tell them, hey youre doing a good job.

My daughter has been dancing at MDA for 13 years, and she loves it! The teachers (especially Terry and Kimberly) are amazing, as is Dari, the owner. The teachers are firm, but loving. The girls adore Dari and really look up to her. She is a great role model for them. My daughter and I will both be sad when she graduates and can no longer dance at MDA.

The staff weve encountered are not very friendly. The teachers are not too approachable either. In our opinion, they are quite strict with young students. Parking and lobby area is crowded also and recital information and procedures were unorganized.

All 3 of my kids attend McKinney Dance Academy and we have loved our experience. All of the teachers are knowledgeable and care about the growth and success of my children. My kids absolutely love dancing at MDA!

We love McKinney Dance Academy !!! We have been going there for 12 years! The staff is always friendly and they are great with kids. My girls LOVE going there.
