Be wary of this dance school especially if you have Ms. Ryan the owner, as an instructor. Being a patron of Reflections Dance has been an awful experience from the moment my daughter was placed in Ms. Ryans class. Im specifying that moment, because there are teachers there that my daughter loved and will miss seeing every week, but Ms. Ryan isnt one of them. Numerous times after class my daughter would be upset or seem less happy than normal and when asked what was wrong shed express how she felt Ms. Ryan didnt like her or that Ryan had harshly criticized and embarrassed her in front of the whole class for not doing something right. My daughter, now eleven has played sports since she was four, and has always been someone her coaches and teachers have loved because of her good attitude and strong work ethic. This is the only place we ever had this poor of an experience. A Yelp review by Marc C. states that they protect bullies here, Id say based on my daughters experience at Reflections that Ryan is the biggest bully of them all.

We have had the privilege of being part of the Reflections family for going on 5 years now. At the time my daughter was just two years old. Ms. Ryan and the other instructors were/are always patient, loving, and kind to the students. My daughter has grown incredibly as a dancer, fostering her talent and love for dancing. But, most importantly, she is learning what it means show dedication, respect, hard work, and sportsmanship. There is a strong bond between the students, teachers, and parents. Being apart of this studio is like being apart of a family. Ms. Ryan and the instructors help to teach our children so much more than dancing. For me, the dance lessonsare important, but the life lessons and values my daughter continues to gain from being apart of this dance family are priceless.

We LOVE Reflections, Mrs. Ryan and all of her staff!! My daughter is starting her 4th year at the studio and Mrs. Ryan treats her like she is one of her own kids. She has learned so much in these last 3 years that it is amazing to see how much she has grown as a dancer. She loves going to class, in fact I had to talk her out of taking more classes because she wants to be up there every day of the week! I recommend Reflections Dance to all of my friends, which is tough since we live in Plano and not everyone is willing to drive to McKinney for dance classes but we would not go anywhere else. My daughter, two of her cousins and one of her best friends go to this dance studio, and then not to mention the number of friends she has made at the studio, it truly is a family at this studio!

Can a studio actually teach respect and dance? YES! Ms Ryan illustrates that dance is an appreciation of not only ones self, but others as well. Dance is a competition that drives each individual, but that should not dictate ones heart. Respect and appreciation should lead you to compete. My girls have been tutored under Ms Ryans wing now for years and I am so thankful that she is a part of our daughters lives. They love dance and have grown as girls and young ladies in ways I could thank Ms Ryan enough for helping groom. If you chose this as your dance studio, you have chosen wisely. And there is a support system of moms (and dads) that is so amazing we are all actually friends. Great studio, great staff, great team and great atmosphere.

We love Reflections and the entire staff. If you want a studio that places as much emphasis on being a kind and positive person as they do you dance technique, this is the place for you. We have been taking dance with Miss Ryan since 2008 and she is very patient and loving with all of the dancers and expects them to treat each other the same way. She also greets every dancer, both new and current, by name and welcomes them to class. In addition, she has a staff that is just as great as she is and will go out of their way to help the dancers. This is a family run studio and you truly feel like part of the Reflections family when you walk in.

We are going into our 5th year at Reflections as my daughter started there when she was 2y. I cant say enough good about the teachers, staff and even the parents weve encountered over the years. Its a very positive studio where each student is expected to cheer on and encourage their peers, especially within the competitive dance team. There is no "dance drama" at this studio, as meanness & ugliness towards others (by students or parents) just isnt tolerated by the owner. The costume selections are always age appropriate and modest & the teachers are so very patient and loving. Exactly what anyone would want for their child.

I cannot say enough wonderful words about Ms.Ryan and Reflections. We have been at the studio for 3 years and I have watched my daughter blossom into a confident dancer. Not only has Ms. Ryan instilled in her the love of dance, but has shaped her with loving guidance to be a supportive friend & classmate, to believe in herself when something is new or hard and to handle difficulty with grace. Her teaching style is very developmentally appropriate. I have watched Mrs. Ryan for many years and I can say, without a doubt, that she loves each of her girls and treats them as her own.

Ms.Ryan found it a funny story to tell, that a man, visiting the studio during class,asked if our 10 year who was wearing black dance shorts ,a black 3/4 sleeved top over a beige leotard, was naked under there? I found this highly inappropriate, be watchful when you take your children there. In response to your reply: Our 10 year old was wearing a solid color leotard and tights. The man who asked you if a little girl was naked is, at best ,creepy and ,at worst, predatory. No laughing matter, I regret I did not stay to keep her safe.

I cannot say enough great things about this dance studio! My daughter has been taking dance with Miss Ryan since 2008. She has always treated the girls like one of her own children and the atmosphere there is very much family oriented. The instructors that work there are just as amazing. My daughter has grown immensely not only as a dancer at this studio, but also in becoming a respectful, hard working young lady who is passionate about what she does. I would highly recommend this studio!

Wow! Where to begin....I am so amazed and impressed the the love and attention the Ms Ryan gives to our daughters that I am overwhelmed. The dance instruction is top notch, but its the respect and appreciation that rings home most for me. Any teacher should be able to instruct the basic dance skills needed, but Ms Ryan makes sure the girls (and boys) learn an appreciation for each other and the team. So amazed and appreciative. Could not be happier with our choice of a dance family.

Im a dancer at reflections and I love this dance studio and the people in it. The dance teachers are so nice and amazing. They always correct me and help me get things right. I love it when they tell me I did something wrong so I can fix it and become a better dancer. The other dancers are amazing as well, we are like a big family. Everyone is so friendly and excepting. Reflections is my second home and I wouldnt change it for the world.
