How many stars do you give a gym when their New Membership Sales Team checks out with the happy hour crowd? 1. Talked to Corey the manager and he said the sales staff would be there until 10pm. Ok cool. We get there at 9:30pm ready to go with money in our pocket and theres no sales staff. They just left! 2. Can you, front desk lady, give us a tour? No, but we can show ourselves around just dont touch any weights you say? Oookay......there are 2 of you behind the counter, but I guess your only job requirement is to hang out here... Whatever. So we: 3. Left our number for Corey to call so we could schedule a time to come back. Heres a shocker.. He never called. Guess what? I wasnt surprised. 4. We waited 2 days and went back again - I know, dumb, but we really wanted to workout - it was just before 9pm and again no one in sales was there! Front desk staff freely admits that the sales team is supposed to be there until 10pm, but "they kinda make their own hours lately". Wow, Im impressed! This club is doing so well that they dont need new members and send everyone home! 5. Both times we went in to this stinky old athletes foot smelling place the front desk staff were chatting as we came in and never greeted us. We actually had to stand there awkwardly while they finished their conversation with each other before they spoke to us. We took our business to the new LA Fitness down the road. Staff there was attentive, Maria the GM called me within 5 minutes and the membership fee is half what 24 is charging.

First time I joined that club I thought It was awesome. Then it all went downhill from there. There is no reception whatsoever. So if you are one of those weird people that like to workout with music from pandora like me FORGET IT. I requested it a wifi password and the guy from the entrance laughed at me RUDE!!! I have a child and one of the reasons why I joined is because of the hours of the kids club. They were better than any other gym. So I did not care about the extra cost. Well guess what that is gone too. They changed the hours for the kids club in almost half. Now I practically dont go work out for the hours. And then they just close it for no reason and dont let the clients know until you are there. That is just rude. And when they changed the hours the charge for the kids club was exactly the same. So in conclusion if you like to listen to music, read a book or any other thing that requires reception while you work out. Forget it. And if you want to watch tv in one of the machines (forget it) 80% of them dont work , if you have kids and want to work out. Also forget it that gym is not for you. I hope this helps because if I have known this before I must have certainly not joined.

I can write a book to describe this facility. We have been using this facility for over 2 years and I can tell you this is not the Super Sport club. It is one filthy place. Front desk team does average job, most of them dont even greet you. Most cardio equipment are old and not working properly. Locker rooms are filthy, towels everywhere on the floor, broken shower door, broken faucets, no shop in the shower, no lights in the shower, vents are dirty, seems they havent been cleaned since the facility was opened. This facility has rented the inside swimming pool to some commercial establishment which is a franchise who occupies the pool most evenings teaching swimming to kids. Walking through the swimming pool area is dangerous and you can easily slip. Sauna and steam rooms are small and break often. Once either of them break, it takes weeks to get it fixed. The 24 Hour fitness corporation holds the money for improvement.

Been going to 24hr Murphy since 2014, Its gotten a Lot cleaner and the 24hr Crew has gotten a lot more Caring and Knowledgeable. I hear staff calling members by name (me included). Very Positive Environment with New Music Videos On the T.V.s with Safe Excersises, Inspiration and Tips from nutrition to mindset and step by step instructions to getting better sleep. (VERY HELPFULL) First three personal trainer sessions helped me correct many muscle imbalances and Im so thankful for the Effects I feel way more limber and been able to recover faster. Im very happy with the Changes, Much more Positive Energy since they switched the CEO last year. Great Leadership Improvement! Good Job 24hr Murphy. Hands down way better than 24hr Carrollton,Plano,Lewisville,Colony, Addison. As well as Austin Tx Spring Creek,Parmer,and UT locations too. This Gym makes me Glad to be back in DFW! - HIGHly Satisfied Member

When I took membership for My kids, They promised me that if I found it not worthy or I dont want to continue, I can cancel at any time before 30 Days, and after few days I started calling them to Cancel but nobody is picking up the phone in that department, when I select the new member request they pick the phone quick and they say I have to talk to the "Cancel Service " department. again this exercise went on for quite some time, and Finally I spent a day dedicated for this and got to talk to them, then the rep. said He want to speak to my son who is the member, I said I am the one paying and given Consent. He said he cannot cancel unless he speak to my son who was at his School at that time. Then when I went to the Murphy Center, they said even they cannot get them on phone, some time they call all day. So I end up paying for the entire year even though my kids are not using their service.

Beside the disgusting smell at the mens shower area, the dryer NEVER works. I was out of luck when I forgot to bring an extra set of towels to the wet area since the club stop stocking clean towels in the shower area. The only two options I had are, put on my sweaty, dripping water workout short after I alredy taken a shower and go get a towel from the front desk, or put on my work clothes on and head to work :( The front desk treats the gym members as if they are doing them a favor (not all of them to be fair). PLEASE FIX THE DRYER IN THE MENS BATHROOM. Big shout out to the trainers team, all of them are fiendly and super helpful. This has been going now for over 2 month. Today is October 5th, I will keep you guys updated for how long it will take to get A DRYER fixed.

Too bad there isnt an option for zero stars...purchased a personal trainer package for my wife and paid in advance (big mistake). Her trainer left then after about 10 attempts no new trainers would call her back to set something up (as suggested by the front desk). After she discovered she wasnt going to get a call back she asked for the balance of her training sessions she pre-paid for back. They said "no refunds". Ill try to go thru the standard customer service line to see if they will be more helpful. Training sessions arent cheap and considering I paid $50/month for a memebership, I should get the $ back for the unused sessions. If I dont get it WHO DOES??? Surely not a trainer. Sounds like theft to me. Beware...
