Steve Angelo, is an absolute idiot!! I took my 2003 Dodge Ram pickup into him for a simple break repair, and to have him check out my AC. $440.00 later, my breaks are fixed (I hope), but my AC is not. He replaced the knobs, that control the AC and that did not fix the problem ($239.00 part). He then called me to tell me he had replaced the knobs and the AC was working a little better, but that it didnt fix the problem completely. He then told me he had a pretty good idea, what it was but that he didnt not have the proper computer to pinpoint the problem 100%. He said that only the Dodge dealerships have these computers and I would have to take it there spend $60.00 to have them check it out. He then advised me to have them right down what was wrong with it and take my car back to him so he could then fix it properly, he told me to do this because the dealership would try to rip me off and he could do it for a much cheaper price. After all this I tell him just to give me a total I owed him so I could get my car back and he told me $440.00, I then told him fine that I would be there in a few minutes to pick up my car and pay with my Visa CC. He now tells me his CC machine is broken and is only taking cash at the time! So I tell him thats a problem for him not me and if he wanted to get paid he should get his machine fixed. Called me back in 5 minutes with "great news" the CC company was fixing his machine! I get there to pay him and I dont think the machine was ever broken, poor Steve Angelo just didnt have the smarts to work the machine!! After about 15 minutes of hearing him yell out every swear word in the book, it finally worked. I will never go back to Economical Auto and will never send any to him. Steve Angelo is a poor mechanic, and should have his certification (if he even is certified), and business taken away!

I had a window that wouldnt roll up. I was told it was window regulator, so I paid $290 to have it fixed. One of Steves mechanics "fixed" it, but within about a month it started to happen again. I brought my car back to them a few weeks later and Steve told me that I couldnt have it repaired unless I had my receipt, even though he clearly remembered us. I asked him where his paperwork was and his answer was "We throw them away" Ummm, how can a business not have their paperwork. I brought a copy of the check I paid him with from the bank and he wouldnt accept that. They dont even use COMPUTERS to keep track of their jobs. So basically he refused to take any responsibility and wouldnt warranty his labor and work. Needless to say Im pissed. When you call them back to fix something under warranty, you wont get any service. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I WILL NEVER return my vehicle to these crooks again. $290 bucks down the drain. Im furious.

TOTAL RIP OFF This place is not a car shop, is a place you go to get ripped off. There are Two brothers who pretend to be mechanics and the dad who tells them what to do. They over charge and don not do the work they say they do on your car. ECONOMICAL AUTO REPAIR hahah You should see the mess of a shop they have there.... Someone should call the troubleshooters on this place to have hidden cameras go in and see what actually happens to your car when they "work" on it! STAY AWAY! This place totally ripped me off. I had several things to be repaired on the same visit. He charged me the money (obvious he wanted cash) then when I drove my car the next day none of the so called repairs were effective. I went back to discuss the fact that nothing they had done fixed any of the problems, and they just made lame excuses. Out all that money for nothing. Wouldnt send my worst enemy here!

We took our 2011 caravan in for electrical issues. Steve was able to see us that day. The problem was extremely difficult to identify and after some time and tribulations is now repaired. It took some patience but I do believe it was a fair transaction.
