DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! I cant with a good conscience recommend this shop. They will not properly diagnose your issue. I had/have a serious vibration from 50-70 miles per hour. I recently had a coil-over suspension, a-arms, bushings, and ball joints installed up front and thats when I noticed the vibration. The shop that did the work had to use a universal 5mm spacer to clear the wheels and coil-over. Theyre in Dallas so I couldnt just run it back over to them. I made the Luke Wester team aware of this recent work multiple times. First they recommended rotating the tires. No change. Then they diagnosed the issue as both CV axles needing to be replaced even though one was only 15 months old. Spent $500 plus to have this done and it didnt correct the issue. So they recommended a get new tires. I run over to Discount for some new tread on the rears (Discount thing). Luke Wester is kind enough to move them to the front and re-balance but still no change. I was looking for some honest advice on whether any of the recent parts installed ie spacers could cause such a vibration. Long story short I still have the vibration and were out $500 plus for parts that didnt need to be swapped. After some digging around on my own. Im hoping $60 in correct spacers and hub centric rings will correct the issue. Do yourself a favor and skip this shop. Dont get me started on Nichols Tire and Automotive also in San Marcos. If either one of these shops would like to right their wrong ie put the old parts back on and give me my money back you have my number and Ill update this on a more positive note.

First of all the reason that I chose this mechanic is because my dentist recommended him. Luke Wester is a very nice guy personally, but thats where it ends. I took my Lexus there because my check engine light was on. I had already had my care diagnosed. I had a knock sensor out which is the size of a washer to a large screw. I didnt want the dealership to work on my car because they wanted to charge me $860. They would replace both knock sensors and gaskets and covers. I took my can to Luke Westen and they call me back after a couple hrs and tell me to come in. These guys look me dead in my face and tell me that it would be $1300. I said this is more than the Lexus dealership who Im sure will use authentic parts. They then told me well yeah but you need your brake rotors rotated, we will replace both knock sensors, and some other crap. I walked out and took my car to Rising Sun Japanese auto service and got my job done for $223. Ive now continued to give them my service and they are great and honest. These guys just love working on cars PERIOD.

Our family was driving from San Antonio to Waco when the brake light went on and the brakes were making grinding noises. We were referred to this place by another larger auto service center that was backed up and would require 1.5 hour wait time just to look at the brakes. Luke Wester Auto inspected our brakes within minutes and said the brakes were good enough to continue to drive with, and that we wouldnt need to get them repaired until we returned from our trip. They were super fast, told us exactly how much life was left on our brakes, and did not charge us anything for the inspection! Honest and quick, nicely cooled waiting area, friendly staff...we highly recommend this place!!

My mother, who is 81 years of age, has been using this shop since moving to San Marcos 9 years ago. Mr. Wester has bent over backwards to make sure her car is fixed properly and has even gone to pick up the car and deliver it back to my mother. Recently, my mothers car had some serious problems with the ignition and key pad. The dealership could not fix it and wanted $1,100 to replace the parts. Mr. Wester worked with my mother for months until he could get it fixed and never charged her extra for the addl visits to the shop, saving her $1,000. He has been giving her exceptional service for years. Thank you Mr. Wester and your mechanics! We appreciate all of you!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! Needed a professional to take a look at my transmission THAT THEY PUT IN before a trip and they said I needed a new fuel filter and a throttle body cleaning. Well, I break down on my trip because of guess what MY TRANSMISSION. Now they wont even help me get in touch with the right people to get it fixed. Its been broken down for two weeks 100 miles away. No Solution. Unbelievable Customer Service! DO NOT get anything done there unless you want a head ache

I have been coming here for service for a few years and the service on my car has always been outstanding. I havent been in for service in a few months and when I came in today the lady who greeted me was very rude and disrespectful. When I told her my name she replied with "ugh, what car?" I have two cars listed under my name and forgot to remove my old car. When I told her I needed an oil change she rolled her eyes at me. Customer service in the front office is lacking

This place is amazing. When our SUV overheated they helped us get a tow and then quickly let us know what was wrong. It was a more complicated problem than we hoped, but they had us fixed up within a couple of hours and on our way. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were given regular updates on the progress and they took great care of us. I only wish they were closer to where we live, but well still come back any time we get a chance. :)

Lukes has been a great, dependable and trustworthy shop to work with. Ive been taking my vehicle there for 2+ years - they are quick to diagnose the trouble and work on appointments so that I dont spend an excessive amount of time waiting around. Had my new car for a week (Camaro SS) . Go in to get nail removed and tire patched. Cant remove tire.. they Remove nail and plug it, and they say no charge. I wonder why. Go outside to see my rims scratched from the attempted tire removal. Yeah thanks for the no charge. All I got was an apology. No offer to fix damages. Im not one to complain. I leave 5 stars 9 out of 10 times. But this really bothered.

I had a great experience! Car was overheating. They diagnosed it quickly and fixed it. They also worked with my warranty company and handled all the details. Would definitely recommend. Everyone I worked with was very trustworthy and had great customer service skills! I finally have someone in San Marcos that can work on German cars, instead of driving all the way to San Antonio!
