I have been taking kids here for 10 years. First,as a foster parent and then as an adoptive one. While the building is older and a more modern facility is a few blocks away in two different directions, I always return because of the staff. I tried other facilities (usually while waiting for an opening at LT Smithfield) and was disturbed by the teacher turnover in every classroom. I feel strongly that all kids need consistency in caregivers,but it is even more critical for children who have already experienced a lot of change in their young lives. LT Smithfield has staff there that have been present since I started using their services! Even more importantly,they communicate openly with me regarding any concerns or issues. Finally, they have accepted my down syndrome child with love and compassion and celebrate with me each time he achieves a new milestone.

Our daycare experience started out horribly until we found Little Tykes - Smithfield location. The teachers and staff are simply outstanding. They know our girl, care for her and pay attention to her in such a thoughtful way. I trust them and truly like everyone there! Its such a blessing of a place. She is learning, reading, painting, talking, walking, eating...everything she should be doing and more!
