My daughter attended this daycare in 2009 for a very brief time. At first the daycare seemed like a perfect fit for us. The owners (although very young) were nice and the location was very close to my work. However, my daughter, who was nearly potty trained, started acting extremely out of character after attending Horizon Kidz for about a week. She became terrified, I mean horribly scared, of the potty. We once saw a worker leave a crying child alone on a regular sized potty - not one made for young, potty-training children- while helping another tie a shoelace and this lead us to believe that our daughter had more than likely been left alone on the potty and had fallen in while unattended. Also, she would throw huge fits when I dropped her off, something she had never ever done before and immediately stopped doing when I withdrew her from Horizon Kidz. I usually picked her up around 5 oclock and ALWAYS found her in a dark room packed with both younger and older kids watching tv. Often times it was a show or movie that I felt was far too mature for kids in her age group (2 years old). When I asked about why they watched so much tv I was told tv time was only allowed for about 30 minutes and that I just happened to pick her up during that time. However, on the few occasions that I picked her up later, and sometimes even thirty minutes earlier, I found the same thing. There is no proper kitchen of any kind so the lunch food was limited to things that could be made without heat at a counter that was also used to prepare crafts. The "playground" consists of a couple toys sitting on gravel like rocks in a tiny fenced in enclosure. I got swept up in the appeal of the location and the cheap costs but would discourage any parent from enrolling their child here. My bottom line, dont even waste your time taking a tour. This daycare was a complete let down and because of the closed off rooms and low lighting, honestly quite scary.

While the teacher, Donna is impressive with her dedication, the establishment falls far short with management from the top down. It is over crowded, dark, dirty, loud, and chaotic. My son comes home dirty nearly everyday. They try and economize on the air conditioning, so at times it is very hot. It is a small place, with only two rooms, and really no place for the kids to go. Out back is some run down equipment for the kids to play on in two fenced in areas that feel more like pigs pens than play grounds. The owner is dishonest and inadvertently tried to charge my credit cards $360 when I authorize him to take out $120 (one week) and then says to me "it got declined." I didnt understand why until I checked with my bank. I called him back and asked if he was aware how much he charged, and he said he wasnt, that it was an accident…. Seriously? We got behind a week, and every week I get the daughter and now her father, pressing me to make the payment immediately as if they were going to go out of business without an additional payment. And… they charged me for one week that my son wasnt even there. My fault I guess, because I didnt notice that is how they operate their business.

Im beyond grateful we found this establishment. My son used to go to Childrens Learning Adventure and we had a horrible experience there. After being a stay at home mom to him for almost two years, the transition back in to the working life was very difficult for the both of us, understandably. Once I noticed we were being singled out and treated unfairly at his other school, we made the switch to Horizon Kidz and have been so happy since. My son loves his little friends, and the teachers are all amazing, caring individuals who share the same ideals and morals I have for my son, but for all the other children as well. Potty training was a breeze, he comes home with new information daily, he sings songs, and hes so excited every morning to go to "school." Thank you for all that you have done for us! We are beyond grateful :)

We absolutely love this daycare. We have 2 kids that have been there over a year now. We tried several places before we found this one and I would have to tear my kids off me so I could leave for work. Here they are so happy when we pull in every morning and come home with big smiles and tell me all about their day. My 4 yr old has learned to write her name, count, and all her letters and sounds. They are always working with them to teach them new things. They have worked with us financially as well, more than anyone should have. We honestly dont know what we would do without this day care and the teachers that work here!

Your school van driver ran a red light. I hope kids were not on that van. It was at Keller parkway and Patt Orr. He didnt have the time to wait for his turning light to change and as the cars crossing light turned green your driver took off in front of them. I personally would be concerned to place kids in the care of this Horizon Kidzs if the safety is not one of the MOST important concerns. The time was at 6:17 pm, heavy traffic time.

I have never found a daycare with such friendly staff. My daughter loves Miss Rachel and Miss Heather. She comes home talking about new things she has learned every day. Miss Rachel has been absolutely amazing helping with the potty training which has been a somewhat difficult process for me. We love it here and we are very happy with everything :)

Horrible daycare. They watch movies all day and dont work with the kids at all. The condition of the place and Its transportaion is bad. They need to be shut down in my opinion.

Absolutely terrible school. Teachers are out of line with their students, not being fed properly, and my child has gone backwards in potty training.
