Muay Thai review: I was here for 6 months. The Muay Thai class is the most popular, but youre only going to learn the very basics. When you come to the Muay Thai class, its the same thing everytime. 10 minutes of jump rope warm-ups (great for footwork and balance) but after a while you just kinda skip it (if you want to. My goals were different, cardio was not my issue) After that its either 10 minutes of shadow boxing (punching air) or you start the days class. This could anything from being conditioning (multiple punches, multiple kicks, footwork through agility ladders, footwork through fun interactive team games, pad work where you work on jabs and punches... Etc). The reason why I give this place a 3/5 stars is the importance they have on safety. The place is very friendly and family oriented but because of this they shrug off injuries like "Its cool itll heal". The coach is a sweet heart but also a bipolar hard ass. Shell motivate you, but take your time, she cant tell when you have an injury; only you will. The average person will love this but for the person who has an interest in actually training in the martial arts the learning experience is 5/10 . Because the classes are so big, you wont be able to have a lot of one on one work like you do in jiu jitsu. Want to lose weight? Great, this place is for you. You wont learn advanced Muay Thai techniques here (or Ive never been taught them). No flying knees, no major sweeps, no emphasis on elbows, nothing fancy. Summary: come if you wanna lose weight, increase your cardio health and endurance, learn the basics and make tons of other motivated people who have multiple stories. The people you meet are great. Jiu-jitsu review: Tye Davis is THE MAN. What a phenomenal teacher and person. He is a brown belt that knows his stuff. For him, I give him 5 stars. There is MAJOR emphasis on safety. This class is smaller and has less days of the week, but they are my favorite. If you consider coming just for him, its totally worth it. Great to talk to, has a great head on his shoulders, he is an educated man that will teach you how to defend against bullies and is hillarious. Learning experience 9/10. Negatives: you might roll with stinky sweaty people, but get over it lol.

Best place to start, learn and gain experience and knowledge in Muay Thai, a highly motivational place with plenty of aspiration from our instructors. Location is easy to find, plenty of parking spots, and hours are excellent. Experienced or not, everyone is on the same level and all are considered as "Ohana" family. The Ohana Warrior Gym considers Unity as an important factor, so no one is left behind and everyone is looked after. Each day is always different and I have learned so much in just one week being there. Muay Thai takes alot of commitment and the instructors in the Ohana Warrior Gym, has been with me every step of the way. I would most definitely recommend the Ohana Warrior Gym to everyone for their awesome commitment to others, well-maintained and positive environment, and the instructors passion to teach Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu.

No whinings allowed. Leave your ego/showing-off mentalities out of this gym and youll get a warm welcoming atmosphere. No one will make fun of you whether youre new to muay thai or out of shape. Everyone will encourage you to try your best. You wont feel intimidated in this gym because everyone is a family member to one another. If you think studying Muay Thai to show off in a public place, this gym isnt recommended because they keep it humble and family oriented. Must show up to class to be able to spar or you must prove your worth to be able to fight-the instructors are more than welcome to train you to be a real fighter; not a show-off nor doing it for fame. You train with The Ohana gym for the love of martial arts, not for money nor fame. First day is free so youre more than welcome to try it out.

This is a gym unlike any other. Been working out here for almost two years. Everyone--beginner to advanced--is treated with joy, kindness, and respect. Through positive reinforcement, you learn the craft of Muay Thai through practical, fun techniques & an intense workout. Leave your ego & your whining at home. :) Everyone is welcome & everyone is family here.

Had my first class here on Tuesday and it was awesome! Ive never done a martial art before so going in I was nervous, but after meeting everyone I was quickly assured that there was nothing to be nervous about. On top of that I got a sick workout in! Needless to say I signed up! Ohana Warrior is highly recommended

The entire gym is full of completely disrespectful people. They will delete bad reviews off facebook and try and report you. They threaten to come find you and fight you. They share no respect for any other martial arts. Avoid these clowns at all costs.
