I think it is often better to judge a company by how they handle things when they dont go according to plan than when everything goes as normal. My experience was the former. We had reserved a vacation condo in Rockport with Luce Vacation Rentals and we arrived after office hours to pick up the key. They had left the condo keys in their dropbox as planned and I picked them up and drove over to the condo only to find a group of people already occupying the unit I had reserved. As it turned out, the people there were the condo owners and from what I could gather they had apparently failed to let Luce Vacation Rentals know that the unit would not be available for rental that weekend. We called the after hours emergency numbers for Luce to try to sort things out and after a few minutes we were able to get a hold of Crystal. She met us back at the Luce Vacation rental office a few minutes later and switched us to another unit, which was much nicer (and had a much higher rental rate) than what I had reserved - at no extra charge. All of the staff at Luce were very apologetic about the mix-up despite the fact that I dont think it was actually their fault. But they didnt complain about it and just took care of us. I highly recommend Luce Vacation Rentals for anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Rockport, Texas.

Our family rented a Allegro North Condo through Luce Properties in Aug 2014 in which we prepaid the full amount as advertised on their website for a full week. This rate are advertised on the website as well as with verbal conformation when we called to give our credit card information a month prior. At the time we arrived to get the keys for the condo we were told that we could only stay 5 days!!!, not the full 7, even though we have paid the "Full week rate" and had emails/correspondence of the booking date stating it was for the 7 day rental. They would not change our dates nor would they get us another condo for the two days we PAID FOR and agreed to in our rental agreement. We tried showing them the emails as well as the correspondence for the full weekly rate and they did not care. ***This is a horrible and dishonest company. family vacation was set short due to dishonest business practices** AVOID THEM!
