Car shops are like the hospital as you worry about what it is and how much it is going to cost? Then there is the hope you never go back. My first experience with Golden Rule was more like pulling up to a Mercedes dealership where someone pops out once you arrive, they listen and you leave feeling like you are the only important car in the shop. The morning I was there all service bays were full and I had low expectancy that I would get it back that day. They text updates on entire service process and respond to any questions with a direct call. My car was having idle problems and shutting down when I stopped. It had four different P codes registering all the big name sensors that could drive a large bill. In the end, it was something as simple as moisture and my battery cable. They could have been like other shops that would have replace nearly the entire car and made their lease payment for the month. It was a golden opportunity to take me to the bank but this Golden outfit here in Rowlett delivered incredible service and got me running the same day. I am excited about going back with any car issue and highly recommend them. Thanks to Colin, Clifford and clearly Pat Coultier. Class act!

Ive used Golden Rule for multiple visits now. Its actually the only shop ill even consider trusting my vehicles with since i found it. The staff is remarkable with reliable service and being friendly instead of being just other money grabbing mechanics. Ive had alot of issues taken care of by these guys over time and no other shop so far has even come close to their quality of service. My cars engine was recently ruined driving to work. I was towed straight to this shop within an hour with no second guesses about where to seek the help i needed. Somehow they turned the experience of telling me that my engine was done and that itd be smart to just sell instead of fixing into an enjoyable visit. I left with the confidence that there was absolutely nothing affordable to me that couldve been done to save it. Ill continue to use and refer Golden Rule for any/all issues within my circle of family and friends for some time to come.

Being a Rowlett Chamber Member for my business , Ambassador and on the Board of Directors. I always try to use the Chamber members first. I always have great experience whenever we need to take our vehicles to Golden Rule. Colin and Cliff always greet you. They explain exactly what they are going to do and the cost. Then you are updated at each step of the repair by text. Golden Rule took great care of my wifes car. Always honest and the cost of repairs are in line. The next day I took my car in for State inspection and oil change. WOW!! They research and make sure they have the right filters and the correct oil for your vehicle. Plus very reasonable. I have clients ask me where to get their cars fixed. I always sent them to Golden Rule. They always thank me a great referral. Keep up the awesome servant attitude Golden Rule.

We just had a breakdown of our A/C system on our three year old car that could have cost us $2,500! I had just ran out of factory warranty. My entire family, (six people and four cars) have relied on Colin and his crew for past 5 years so I knew where to go. We have always been treated like gold there. They go out of their way to listen and and explain whats going on. They text message (or call me) about the status of my repairs. I like knowing whats going on with my car and I dont feel like I left hanging - waiting for the phone to ring. They do fantastic work and stand behind what they do. This last breakdown was a potential catastrophe for us. We ended up with a final bill just a little lower than Colins estimate and it didnt break the bank. We wouldnt go anywhere else.

I own an auto repair shop in Rockwall. We are not competitors but if I had to pick one shop besides ours to model an exemplary auto repair and service shop after it would be Golden Rule. We communicate often with each other and I have personally seen how well they treat their customers. Patrick and Collin and Cliff and the others are an excellent, caring customer service team. If I did not own my own shop, theirs would be the shop I would select to have service my vehicles and those of my wife and kids. I cannot say enough good things about them. I am an expert in the field so I can understand how a business actually works. This is a shop which truly follows "The Golden Rule"

I brought my truck to Firestone and they said I needed about $2,000 worth of work to get my A/C to work properly. I took it to Lone Star Auto for a second opinion since I saw their sign out front that said Free A/C Check(Firestone charged me $59 to check it). Well after Patrick the technician and owner looked at my truck he realized that it was nothing more than an o-ring to fix the leak and recharge the system. Needless to say my A/C is blowing nice and cold and it only cost me $89. These guys are the most honest auto shop I have ever seen. Patrick also took me out in the shop and showed me exactly what was wrong and why it failed. I highly recommend Lone Star. Thanks guys!!

This morning I took a tire that needed repaired up to Lone Star. These guys had it fixed and back on in about 15 minutes. I was really impressed by these guys. They just took over ownership of the place and are trying to overcome a bit of a bad reputation this place previously had. Really nice bunch of guys, honest and forth coming--if you take your car to them you can rest assured they will treat you well and with integrity. Ill be taking all of my car repair business, including inspections to these guys--not only do they want the business, they appreciate it! Thanks guys for your refreshing attitude toward customer service!!

Good good service. Golden rule diagnosed my issue(diagnosing is about 99$ fyi), and quoted me for the repair. when I was not satisfied with the price for the part, golden rule worked with me and let me find the part online and deliver it to them myself, leaving my car in their lot for nearly an entire week! the repair went smoothly, but they had accidently messed up my alarm system in the process, and I was unable to start my vehicle once home. They had my car towed in for free, the alarm issue repaired for free, all with high priority. They work hard to keep their 5 star rating, and they deserved this one. thanks guys!

Ive had my vehicle in several times for repair and I have always been treated fairly and honestly. They do very good work. My vehicle is older and that is why I have had to have it in more than once, everything they have done has been fixed correctly the first time. They were also kind enough to re glue my rear view mirror without a charge when I had some other service done. Are they the cheapest? Probably not, but they are not the most expensive, either. Im not a great mechanic but I know enough to know when someone is BSing me and these guys have been nothing but honest with me.
