My daughter got an unexpected haircut. Ive been taking my 21 month old daughter here periodically for the last 6 months. On the upside, their security seems decent, and their prices are great, and my daughter seems to enjoy it. On the downside, their food selection isnt very good (pizza most days), the staff changes in the late afternoon and they dont take any notes, so they cant tell me anything about how my daughters day went (did she take a nap? what did she eat today? was she fussy at all? etc…) And then theres the haircut... When I picked my daughter up yesterday afternoon, I was shocked to discover that they had cut her hair (my daughters first hair cut ever... an event my wife was looking forward to documenting). I dropped her off in the morning and her hair was down and long enough in the front that it rested on her cheeks at about mouth level. When I picked her up that evening, she was wearing a high pony tail and had been given bangs, cut straight across from temple to temple (a look that Im not fond of). None of the staff seem to know how it happened. This morning, I received a call from the manager, Sheila. I expected a sincere apology and a promise that it wouldnt happen again. Instead, she gave me a story… apparently while watching a movie, her staff had been putting the girls hair up in pony tails, and she thinks another child might have pulled the pony tail loose… and some hair "broke off". I was more offended by this absurd fabrication than the actual haircut. I explained that her hair had clearly been cut straight across the front… with scissors. Sheila absolutely refused to admit that it could have happened while she was at Kids Space. She offered free hours to compensate me, but I turned her down on principle. If she cant explain how my daughter was given bangs, clearly theyre not watching her closely enough.

Kid Space is a parents best friend! My children all love it there. Ive been using them since my first child was in diapers. Ive never had a problem. All the caregivers are extremely attentive to each childs different needs and the parents instructions. The Director is always on-site and on top of it all. Theyve been in business for a long long time ... they know what theyre doing. I dont know what that "Johnny" guy experience, but maybe hes getting Kid Space Drop-in Child Care confussed with a place that was shut down call "Just Drop-in Kidz-Kare". They were close in proximity. If youre thinking about part-time child care, please drop by to talk to the caregivers and Director at Kid Space. I bet youll find that its just as great as I described.

The owner is very nice. I once showed up and had forgotten my card! Right before they closed. She said no big deal since she had seen us before that she could just take my info and I could call with a card the next day. My kids are always excited to go, and they did well with my infant daughter that only wanted to be held all the time. And the rates are nice. Ive came late enough to actually see them cleaning the carpets and sanitizing the toys, everything is very clean!

I have been taking my son off and on for the past few years. The place is clean, with plenty of room for the kids to spread out and play and it doesnt smell like dirty diapers. We went to the TPC location it was small, cramped and smelly. The staff is great, very attentive but sometimes overwhelmed with to many kids. I dont let him play electronics and the staff is great about making sure hes socializing with the other kids.

We dropped our daughter off for a 4 hour stay. Every one was friendly and professional. My daughter had a good time and was asking if she could go back later. I would recommend them. I called in advance and reserved a spot, but they didnt require a deposit or something. Be sure to take your kids shot records if she/he doesnt go to school.

We have been taking our 3 children here for the last 2 years- love it! So convenient to have a safe available place for the children when my husband & I have doctors, school or other appointments when having small children with you is not an option. Location near evrything in Stone Oak is wonderful. The kids get excited to go here.

I have six children and I love it here, they can get dropped off at anytime, last minute meeting, but in our case we are moving to Washington State and at $15.00 an hour, with six kids! is a good deal for me, this is a big help when your moving on a Saturday... Mom of six, AW

Finally had a date night!! So affordable, and my son (who is attached to my hip) went happily & didnt even put up a fight. So glad we found a place like this.
