This place is so unprofessional its unbelievable. I was hung up on more than once. They cannot sched anything without two days notice even for something as simple as an eyebrow wax. I had highlights done there they were not nearly what I said an actually some were orange, an I have had highlights more than once and never orange. Everyone there is rude and too busy to talk to you. The girl in front was too busy looking at a magazine to talk to me when I walked in for a sched appt. She then had to go in back and came back told me it would be a few minutes and sat back down about 10 minutes went by and suddenly she is the one doing my hair. Apparently she wasnt finished reading. I have never written a review so thats how irritated I am. I made an appt., they called to confirm and I informed them I couldnt make it, she told me the voucher I had which I paid for, was then void And I would be unable to use it, I did not know that. The music was so loud she had a hard time hearing me and I couldnt hear her. Then she hung up on me so I waited a few minutes and called back and Said i was hung up on and is there anything we can do about the voided voucher? The lady was soooooo rude I asked to talk to an owner or manager and she said she was the owner, well good luck to that place she is Absolutely horrible, typically when someone calls the place you claim to own and say they were just hung up on, one might assume the owner would at least apologize for the customer getting hung up on. I have 4 more vouchers and to be honest they have no idea the voucher number or anything so if I called and made another appt under a different name and gave a different number they would have no idea. I refuse to do that because I dont want them to get any business what so ever. I have thrown them in the garbage where they belong!

This Salon should be shut down and the owner lose her license. I have never been to a place that was so unprofessional. First off, my appointment was set for 4 and I didnt get seen until 5:15. A co-worker referred this Salon to me, she said Diana was great and did awesome highlights. So thats the assumption I went on and decided to try her out. I have naturally curly hair and is it very dark. Not trusting anyone with my hair, I trusted Diana to do a good job. After sitting for almost an hour with bleach on my hair, she added more bleach and had me set under the dryer for another 10 min. While sitting in the chair about to get my hair styled, I noticed hair falling into my lap. She stated, "Dont worry its natural becuase I used box color prior to my highlights. After straightening my hair, it looked good. Once I got home, washed my hair and tried to style it curly it was awful. My ends looked like I took at match and lit them on fire. And it was only the crown of my head, the back was ok. I havent had bangs in years. After Diana got a hold of my hair, I now have bangs. She over processed the bleach and ruined every stran of hair on my head. Then I contacted the Salon and requested a refund, she denied it. This was unexceptable and very unprofessional. On top of all of this, I noticed on her mirror that her licensce was expired after all of this had already occured. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! THEY WILL RUIN YOUR HAIR AND MAKE YOU LOOK HORRIBLE!!!

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I had an appointment with Desi. She called me 30 minutes early and said she couldnt make the appointment because a client decided to be 45 minutes late and she showed up and forced her to work on her. I told her well my appointment isnt for 30 minutes. She said she cant make it. She then referred me to someone else in the salon who could do it the following day. I told her that it was in poor taste to take someone who was late and refuse someone who was going to be on time. I was ten minutes away. Her response, epic: "Its not my fault that my client ran late." Trashy. I told her okay. I called the salon to speak with a manager. Connie said that the manager was Diana. She said who is this, I gave her my name and she asked what is this about. I said Desi. She said hold. Just by the tone of her voice you can tell she was covering for her. She got back and said she would have her call me, I said Ill call back. I got a text about 5 minutes later from Desi that said she and Diana rent the place and that she is her own boss. How does someone who is self employed treat someone this way. Looking at all the comments here, yes this place needs to be shut down.

DO NOT GO HERE!! I bought 2 coupon cards to try out their services, this is what I found out: This place is filthy!!! I have never been anywhere that is so unsanitary!! Hair everywhere, old brushes, the wash sinks were old and filthy! The hours are very hard to work with and the 2 of the staff that I dealt with were very unprofessional. My daughter and I had haircuts done there and the brushes that they had were so old and DIRTY!!! I even got a rash on my scalp from this place!! I will never go back to get my hair done there! I did call to see about using the rest of my coupon cards for facials and massages ( I bought 2). The only reason is bc those services are done with different technicians in separate rooms from the salon area. The manager would not allow my daughter to use both cards. I paid for the services but my daughter couldnt use both!! Ridiculous! Probably the best I didnt go back....who knows what else might have happened! I just lost my money but atleast I wont catch any other rashes! Horrible place to go!!! I will call the state board to turn them in for unsanitary facility!

I have been coming to this salon FOREVER and I still LOVE it! Diana is such a great stylist especially with people who have naturally curly hair. I have NEVER left dissatisfied!!! People dont realize that you may have to wait a little but your results will be well worth the wait. They are stylist not magicians!!!! I read the reviews and some people dont make any sense. You dont like your appt the first time but you show up a second time? Get for real!!! Then a lady goes in with messed up hair and wants highlights which requires bleach but doesnt understand why the ends of her hair is damaged??? Seriously! It makes me upset to read these reviews because being a customer for so long and seeing the exact opposite is disturbing on how cruel people can be to quickly put this place down and not realize how anal and close minded they REALLY are. Oh well, their loss. Marcel Salon is AWESOME!
