i would give this place less than one star! Today was my first AND LAST visit to this El Pollo Loco. When i got to the intercom i spoke nicely to the lady on the other side and told her that i had a coupon. I gave her my order and she repeated it back to me, but i was incorrectly before i could tell her that it was incorrect she cut me off and told me to pull forward, so i did. When i got the window, she seemed like she was unfocused. i paid no mind to that. I politely asked her if my order was correct as i repeated it back to her. She threw her hands in the air and said I DONT KNOW. I spoke back to her saying that it was on the coupon and i was just asking if i spoke correctly to her as i read the coupon. She continued on as a another car came behind me in the drive thru. I could her the employee have a disrespectful voice telling the lady behind me that she didnt have this on her screen therefore she could not provide the item. I completely understand not having an item on the POS system. But the way this employee provided me with bad customer service was no excuse. I have worked in many different restaurants and fast food places. If she was my employee she would have been removed from the window and written up. No first time customer should have to come across this situation. I will visit other El Pollo Locos but not this one. Plus my food had more veggies than chicken. To be honest, the food was not good. I hope other places will be better.

Ive been here a handful of times. My first dine in visit I got the enchiladas. Thought it was supposed to be hot but was actually cold, making me think it was a frozen meal. It was their opening and too busy to go up and ask for a hot meal. Then tried the Mexican Cobb salad our next visit. AWESOME! However, the next two drive thru experiences were not so exciting. The first time, I ordered the Mexican Cobb expecting the cilantro dressing in the bag. I happened to look in before driving off: no dressing. I ask and she says they ran out. Gee thanks for saying something. Today, I order the salad again, ASK him which dressing goes with the salad, he tells me the cilantro, did I want it (really? Salad without dressing?). Of course I do! I dont check first figuring hed put it in since it was fresh in his mind, get home, two forks and no dressing. I give up. The salad is good but I had hoped I didnt need to supply my own dressing. Service has definitely fallen short since their opening.

Unfortunately I have to give this location the lowest rating if I could go lower I would. It isnt the food it is the employees that do not understand in anyway what customer service is in anyway!!! I sat in the drive through for 15 mins. Watching the employee an African American little teenager ignore the drive through while she helped the three employees at the counter. I heard the cook that my order was done 10 minutes before I was given it. I took the bag from the little girl and said this is the most ridiculous drive through wait time ever and she screamed at me you dont have to have an attitude and SLAMMED the drive through window closed. I WILL NEVER EVER go there again the worst experience EVER!!! Beware they are very rude and slow and disorganized and the manager just stood back and watched.

The food is good, that is the food that I have had the opportunity to get. It seems that they are always out of chicken with a 45min wait. as someone that has worked in restaurants for 24 years this should not happen. I asked why this happens and was told that it happens cause people buy the big meals. Well it would seem to me then I would always have more cooking. I am standing here looking at this open kitchen and see 4 big grills and only one has chicken on half of it. The manager says that they are in the business to sell chicken and they sold it. Lol she knows nothing about restaurant business. It all about customer service and perception. The charo beans are just beans and missing the charo. I hope one day I get to try the chicken.

Food is okay but the customer service stinks. Lots of small bones in my tacos. I ordered a new layered salad and they gave me a regular salad. When I asked they said they didnt have the new bowls and this was the same thing. I had a coupon and it was late so I took it anyway but it was not as appealing and I was disappointed. I work near here so Ive gone a few times but Ive had enough and wont be back. Edited to add: I just got home and opened the salad and there is not a single piece of avocado in the avocado salad...

Cashier didnt take coupon after telling him about it and holding it out, he told me he got the coupon which was strange. He seemed kind of out of it but I didnt think to much about it till my order came up missing a burrtio. When my husband brought up the problem the store manager asked the cashier who acted liked I never tried to give it to him. Not until we asked for a refund did they make the second burrtio which was thrown in foil and not the correct order. Rice was under cooked as well :/

Been to this location five times and the food has always been fresh and tasty. However, yesterday their fixins bar (pico, picante, etc) needed attention as their was no picante sauce. I asked the lady at the counter for some picante sauce, but she didnt know what picante sauce was even though the bar has a picante sauce label. Second employee walk by my table and ask me if everything is ok. Again, this employee has no idea what picante sauce is. Minor, but need training.

Before writing this review I gave the place plenty of chances as I believe people can have a bad day but this is systematic. First the food is good seems to be cooked well and safe. The services is the worst Ive seen ever from any single establishment. Weekends, day or evening. Weekdays days or evening. Different associates all have one thing in common poor customer service. Attitudes and no sense of urgency. Thats my 2 cents from over a half of dozen visits.

The menu has a lot of nice selections and the food was ok for fast-ish food, but the kitchen looked sloppy and the service was awful. I stood at the counter waiting for my to-go order with the buzzer in my hand and couldnt get anyones attention--the lady dishing out sides never looked up, the chicken cook kept walking past ignoring me. Half the drinks and most of the salsa bar was empty.

This was my 1st and last time ever eating here. The food was dry and was cold. I ordered the chicken taco platter and the rice tasted old, and half cooked, the tacos themselves was the most dry tacos Ive ever ate, with maybe 5% chicken. The tortillas was raw. If your thinking about eating here just go somewhere else dont waste your hard earn money on this place.
