I used to be a student here in middle and high school. The teachers, students, parents, and owner/director are extremely rude, judgmental, and uncaring. My family did not have a lot of money growing up, but my parents made sacrifices to allow me to dance because it was something that I really wanted to do. The teachers were not very interested in helping me to learn to dance, but more interested in letting me know that because I hadnt been there since I was 3 years old that I could never be a good dancer. Ms. Ann (owner/director) was the worst offender especially when my parents couldnt afford the recital fees, Christmas show fees, present exchange for other dancers, or whatever else there was (seemed like every other week my parents had to write yet another check). The other parents and dancers made me and my family feel like second class citizens who belonged on the bottom deck for whatever reason. Everything I did or had was "trashy" and they had to problems telling me this to my face. I will never forget one mom was the worst where she actually grabbed my arm after a show and called me trash to my face (she is one of the current teachers moms). I am currently looking for a studio for my daughters to begin dancing and I stumbled across their website. I would say that Im surprised that they are still in business, but Im really not because it is a family/favorites business and if youre in that clique then they take very good care of you. I am looking for a studio where my kids WILL NOT be judged based on the size of our income, but on their passion to dance.

So you want to put your kid in a dance school, skip this one! This is the most unprofessional and unfriendly dance school I have ever been in. If it is for activity and fun, maybe...if you dont mind shelling out half your familiys income to all their various events and classes. Recital Fees???? $350 later and we get two measily dances and a couple of ugly costumes to keep. The viewing room is extremely uncomfortable and HOT! You think your kids are getting a work-out, just st in that room for an hour and you will sweat off five pounds easily! Ann Moody-Sill herself is not what I expected. You would think that owning her own dance studio, she would be a happy person but she NEVER makes it a point to talk to the parents of her students or make you feel welcome. Her teachers are all ex-students for the most part. So if you want a school where your child will learn and could possibly go on to use dance in real life if that was their passion, pick a school like the Houston Dance Academy where they teachers are real dancers that dance in shows and in troups besides the recital. My daughter wasnt happy dancing there and we were not happy as parents. My advice...run away from here as fast as you can!!!

This place is amazing! The choreography is unbelievable. A friend of mine has a daughter that goes here and I went to their jazz dance recital as a supportive friend. Quality dancing and quality studio. It is obvious Ann has great teachers and wonderful students.
