I am a single mother with an active C.P.S. case which was created under false allegations. Within Gods graces my children were returned to me on a return and monitor order. I was seeking daycare and came across the Garden for children and spoke with the owner. I told asked her for her hours of operation, after I told her the time I had to drop off my child she told me she would work with me in the mornings. The first day I brought my child, she made a big ordeal about me arriving at 0650 and my mother picking my child up after 1730, even though the sign on her building CLEARLY states her hours of operation are from 0630-1800. And after she told me she would work with me if I needed to bring my child earlier. I was able to find another childcare that operated within the hours I needed for the am but she could not start until the 28th of August. I chose to stay with the garden center and be cordial until my child transitioned to the other center. However, i did not wish to socialize or have the time to socialize and i was not happy about being an hour late to work everyday due to the owners lie. But again God intervened and filled my boss with understanding so i can keep my job through this difficult time. Just recently my child started acting out in the morning upon drop off stating she did not want to stay or go to the daycare. She started crying when I dropped her off and was resisting by pulling back on my hand to exit the childcare. I then grabbed her by her wrist and proceeded to go through the short doors once inside the center. The staff at the garden center for whatever reason used this as an opportunity to be spiteful said that I pulled on her arm too tightly and interviewed my 3 year old child and alleged that my 3 year old child told them I was abusing her even though there were no signs of abuse or no bruising over her entire body. They called C.P.S. and had my children removed from my care again, stating things like i dont smile in the morning when I drop her off. I did not speak much to them upon drop off and that I looked bad....etc. The staff at the Garden center were already in judgement when I got there and were looking for any opportunity to be snakish. Pulling a child into the center when a child does not want to go is not abuse. There was a parent right next to me doing ths same thing because their child was screaming and hollering and dragging on the floor. Nothing was said to this parent but because I already had a C.P.S. case, my child was not allowed to cry for wanting to stay home with me and her sister. But just like anything else...God will see me through this too because I did nothing wrong. Please be careful about this place.

Ms. Hunter the director is a liar and a snake. She cant be left alone with children by HERSELF! Its on the licensing page. They stick children in dark rooms for punishment. My kids went for for 5 months and I caught on to their lies! My son came home EVERYDAY saying his teacher Ms. Crystal hits him. They never took it seriously! The baby room cant keep a teacher. They dont do any anything educational. My kids new daycare is outstanding my son actually loves going to school! This was the worst time of our lives at this Evil daycare! I could go on! Please look at the pictures on my review and YOU wont send your kid here! PLEASE be aware of this daycare!!!!! The review that is from Brandi thats a 5 star is the 3s teacher!

This is an outstanding Child Development Center! It is one of the best in Universal City. The director takes time to let you know exactly what her philosophy is on what the children will take away from the center. Her experience with families and young children leaves you feeling at ease about leaving your children. The center itself is inviting, clean, and the children are happy. The teachers seem to enjoy what they are doing and it shows in how they interact in the classroom. Childcare is a tricky business, but I think A Garden For Children has a very high standard for quality childcare. I would recommend this facility to everyone who is looking for a high quality experience for their child.

They dont turn off the lights during nap time. My childs behavior got worse while staying here. The daycare is small and cramped, while also smelling and looking dirty. They then broke state laws by telling us we could not drop our child off early when I would need to go into work early. Then told us we could not leave the car seat there do to city ordinance, which we found out from the city is not true as well. My child has now been at another daycare in the area with the same price for a few months and we live it. Find a different daycare and dont waste your time here.

Well my daughter is one of those kids it hard for her to open up to anyone, she loves to be around my husband and I non stop, this the first place I been able to get her to want to go. The teach is nice and I drop my daughter at 6:30 am and I havent had a problem with that. She been there for month now.

I love this place! The kids are always happy to come. They have fun activities such as pony rides during rodeo times. The kids get great meals and are learning both English and Spanish. Mostly the director loves the children like their her own and seems to only want the best for them.

My employee was late several times because they would not open at 6:30 like it states on their handbook and on their establishment. When she address the issue with the owner, she was told she had to remove her children from the daycare instead of being accommodating. wow!

This is a excellent daycare to bring your kids staff is very polite, teachers are very involved with the children. Love the different field trips and programs for the children. Would recommend anyone looking for daycare.
