**UPDATE: To Jerome: I have my BA in business and am working on my Masters in business so yeah, I think I understand business. Whats the markup on $10 mil worth of govt funded musical equipment? I guess $1 mill markup on 0 (stolen goods) gives anyone "allegedly" plenty to spend on cars and Harleys. If you want to blindly throw money at car repairs, go ahead, ignorance is bliss. I would too if it werent my money...anyway...Prices were NOT broken down ahead of time, only the total, otherwise I would not have approved this. But, if customers want to pay for what it SHOULD cost, other successful auto repair businesses can still turn a profit without ripping you off. ##(original)## Dishonest! Go here if you hate money and like to get ripped off. I approved a repair I should not have and greatly regret it. After checking online what the repair should have cost (which I highly recommend doing BEFORE) I was charged about 4 times as much. When I got the receipt, I saw why it was so expensive: They charged me 3 times what the price should have been for each part used and used extra parts they did not need! I verified this by trying to find the most expensive parts online. vL charged me $127 for a water pump?!?! Are you kidding me?!! This should cost $35, or $60 at MOST for brand name! If you dont believe me, check yourself. Thieves!

Scott has been helping me with my vehicles for about ten years and helped me keep an old Suburban running for a long time. He and his staff have always been honest and fair. Recently, I was able to invest some money to restore a Ranger pickup truck that I was forced to lend my brother and sister and they have been driving and neglecting it for several years. I went to Victory Lane, talked to Scott briefly, and to Matt for almost an hour about the things I needed done to the truck. Matt called me back the next day with a quote for the work I needed done and even made some suggestions about work that I wanted but did not need. I brought my truck to them and they fixed it over the next two days with Matt staying in touch every day during the process. Once again, I am extremely happy with the work and the final cost was even lower than Matts quote to me by $300. I would highly recommend Scott and his employees to anyone. They are great honest people! If you need automotive care or repair, this is the place to go.

This is hands down the most reliable and honest automotive service center in San Antonio and surrounding areas. I have no idea why the other guy left a bad review. He obviously doesnt understand how to run a business. When I went to VL, they explained in detail everything that was NEEDED right now and recommended some repairs that might save me some heartache in the future. They did not push to do the repairs that could wait. They just wanted me to be aware of forthcoming issues. The service manager will go over in great detail what parts cost, what the mark up is, and what labor is. They hide nothing. Is there a markup on parts? Of course. Thats part of the business and part of how they make a living. It also allows them to warranty the part and make repairs at no cost while under warranty. This was explained to me, I understood it, and authorized repairs. I was pleased with the professionalism, honesty, integrity, and performance of Victory Lane. 5 stars!!!!

Doesnt even deserve one star. Matthew Flack, the guy who manages the place, was extremely rude and had no patience with my kids when we were in the waiting room. The guy clearly has no kids, I will NEVER go back again, not even if I have a hundred of coupons. To make matters worse, my vehicle was was worst off. I left very upset with the poor customer service, It amazes me that someone in charge would have no professional act in them...wow. I do NOT recommend this place at all especially if you have kids, the guy has no patience for them. Throw your coupons, believe me, its worth the savings, from a guardian to another guardian. Response, not true! My kids behaved as soon as I asked them to stop. Scott texted and called me to remove my review or "soften it up", but sorry, I feel others should know. I am not "exaggerating", I really wish I was. I know the truth and yall being dishonest only reflects on what type of people work there, enough said.

First, I google mapped mechanics nearest me. Out of the dozen or so I reviewed, this was the only shop in my opinion whos owner cared about the work comming out of it. Proof? He answered all the posts good or bad. I only saw one bad post from a client and could tell right away that the client was the issue not the workmanship. So I took my 2001 Silverado in for a diagnosis. Being a shade tree mechanic, I new what was wrong with my truck. When Steve called me three hours after I dropped it off with the correct diagnosis and how we should proceed, I knew I had made the right choice. My truck was dropped off at 8:30am and ready by 4:00pm. These guys are a rarity when it comes to truth and car repair. Truck roars like a Tiger now. Thank you Steve, Scott and crew for exceptional work. I will be a return customer and will recommend this shop to everyone. P.S.. Appreciate the Thanksgiving card. Hand written! Aint gonna find that kindness anywhere else!

Only reason I dont give 5 stars is because I dont love the price I had to pay. They will openly tell you that they are not the cheapest place in town. Saying that, when it seems like you cannot find a mechanic that can be trusted now-a-days (especially if you dont know much about cars), the price may be well worth it when it comes to Victory Lane. I just got my vehicle back today, so I will have a ways to go before I can truly give a 5 star review, but if the service and up-front honesty is telling, than I will have nothing to worry about. They also have a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty on their parts and labor as well. Bottom line, if you are looking for a place that will be honest and up-front with you, then Victory Lane should be your first stop. I will update in a few years when all is said and done.

A good repair, done timely, at a reasonable price. Nothing but excellent service. I feel I owe this great guys this review. Things started well when I got a fast call back after I scheduled online. First impression of the shop was that of an orderly, clean, well organized place. The service manager took the time to listen to my priorities and concerns, called me back timely to discuss the repair, and promised to do his best to get the repair done the same day. I was doubtful they could do it but then I got pleasantly surprised when I got contacted and found out they decided to stay open longer that evening just to finish my car. Business practices like this are not something you find easily nowadays. I will be a regular customer of Victory Lane.
