If I could post zero stars I would. I was completely misled by the staff. IF YOU HAVE A CHILD WITH A DISABILITY OF ANY KIND, THEY CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE YOU! My sweet boy has type 1 diabetes. When I talked to them over the phone and explained his situation, they said they are willing to learn how to care for him. Fast forward to a week later when I had a walkthrough on Monday, they said, once more, they would be happy to help him. Then, on the first day he was there, I went in to pick up my boys and they told me that they couldnt take him after all. They were not very sincere and their excuse was unacceptable. "My girls arent comfortable" and when they called me back, their tone wasnt great, either. I explained he will be on a pump soon but they shook their heads and said NO. Another excuse they gave me was that they recently had a bad turn over rate with their staff and were scrambling to get people hired. Uhh okay? So a daycare is not putting the kids first? What really hurts my heart is when the boys were buckled and we drove off, they couldnt stop smiling and telling me about their "awesome day". Thanks for the false hope and for putting the customer/kids first. Type one diabetes is a manageable disease. This staff needs to put a disclaimer somewhere on their website and be more transparent when talking to people and stop setting up these false expectations. You are not only hurting the parents but the children, too. It is sad I have to explain to my boy why he cant go here anymore...what a horrible thing to do to a child. Your staff should be ashamed of yourself. He already feels different but lets make it worse for him, huh? We refused to pay for those two weeks because they broke the contract and I was forced to take a week off of work to find another daycare facility. They have sent our $400 bill to collections and within that week, they have decided to up that bill to $1,200. Worst experience all around.

The staff are nice and my daughter developed a close relationship with a few of them. I like how they would make accommodations so that my daughter would have more continuity, for example: I am teaching her some sign language at home and a couple of the teachers were familiar with sign language so they were happy to integrate that into their interactions with her. My girl had some terrible sleeping on the mats so they let her sleep in the extra play pen and I also mentioned that I was potty training her and they would take her to the bathroom every two hours. I really appreciated that they were interested in helping along my efforts as a parent and making her stay as comfortable as they could. I wish there was more shade in the little play area, but some things you just cant help and they would take water outside to keep the kids hydrated. Overall, I trusted Discovery Bay and their teachers with my little treasure and I wouldnt say that about just any place. Thank you.

My child loves it here. They have the children do a variety of activities that include dancing, singing, coloring, learning about shapes/letters/numbers. I love that my child comes home with holiday projects and colored pictures. When my child had an issue going into the older class and not feeling comfortable, the staff went above and beyond to help with the transition and it made a world of difference. The staff really care about the children and take care of them.

All the teachers are super nice and respectful. My twins go here currently and they are excited to go every day. They really care about the kids and individual family situations. They are very understanding and willing to work out payments plans. My kids come home with cute crafts, and always learn something new. They are clean and organized, and by far the most comfortable day care Ive looked at. I would highly recommend this day care to anyone.

It is such a peace of mind to take my 18 month old every morning and she runs into the arms of the teachers and gets excited to play! Of all the places we looked at it was the cleanest and the kids seemed well taken care of and happy. Its nice to know that our gut feeling about Discovery Bay was right. Would recommend to anyone with kids of all ages

I love the team here and my two littles loved coming here! Clean, friendly, and fun! I love how much they learn and how much the teachers are involved with my kids! They always give me daily reports, some daycares dont and I love that!

Great place, we lucked into them being down the street from our house. They do very well with the children and you can tell they love what they do. We unfortunately had to move and will miss it here after 2+ great years!
