Never again... Unfortunately, I basically threw away 300 dollars here. The service was great but when my service was done my box braids looked awful. I took them out that same night. They were extremely thick and the ends that supposedly got treated with "hot" water in order to give that loose end look, stayed frizzy. She cut them a bit too so instead of have that natural ends they were severely bluntly cut and it just looked so awful. She used like 6 bags of hair I literally filled a huge black garbage bag full of hair when I took them out. It was a mess I tried to wear them confidently but a lot of friends and family commented on it and basically It led to a night of me crying to my fiancé while him and I spent hours taking out the braids. I never called to complain or ask for them to fix or refund because I felt awful since the girl was so great and nice but as the time goes on it sucks knowing I threw away that money and never even got to wear the braids.... I wish I could post pictures to show how bad it was. I contemplated posting my review on Facebook where the pictures would show but the embarrassment of my friends and family seeing them would be just awful.... needless to say Ill never spend another dollar there again...

Lydia at the Baraka Salon is absolutely AMAZING!!! A genuinely beautiful soul with even more hair talent. I was a walk-up, taking a random chance. I had nothing particularly in mind as far as a haircut was concerned; all I knew is I didnt feel pretty. I didnt know Id walk out with not only a beautiful hairdo and more hair knowledge, but also feeling soul refreshed. The conversations were very heartfelt--not "typical salon gab" found elsewhere, such as celebrity gossip or mindless chit chat...I felt like I had known her as a friend for years! She was very intuitive to both my communication and hair needs, so I felt more than safe to allow her to do whatever she wanted to my hair. The cut could not have been more perfect for me or my lifestyle! I had the best hair cut experience ever, and I am thankful that I was drawn to visit this salon. I WILL be back and I highly recommend Lydia and Baraka Salon to others.

2 1/2 Months ago I purchased Hair and spent over $300.00 on what I was told would be good quality Bohyme hair they even had me special order the hair. Baraka Beauty Supply sells you cheap garbage hair and they change the packaging no way I received Bohyme Hair. The hair they sold me had major breakage and tangled easily, Good quality hair doesnt do that. I know how to care and handle hair extensions after having them for over 20 years. Never purchase from them save your money and go to Laced Hair Extensions or Foxi Hair Extensions they are the same price and hair lasts. I made a mistake of not wanting to wait 3 weeks to order hair with them. I guess its a lesson learned.

Martha is amazing! The last salon i was going to took 9 hours with 6 girls to do my braids! Martha was so fast and it was painless! The girl working the front desk was so sweet and helped me pick out my hair right when i got there. She showed me different products to use and was very friendly! After i got my braids done she took the time to show me different ways i can pull it up for work. All employees i came in contact with were outstanding and went above and beyond my expectations. I would absolutely recommend to anyone Martha for box braids after my experience.

I am a licensed hair stylist that has been specializing in extensions for over 10 years. Baraka has a great selection and quality of weft hair. I Recommend Boheme hand tied Wefts. they are more expensive but clients love the way they look and feel because they flow so naturally and lay flat on the head. My only complaint is I wish they supplied more hair on hand so that clients could choose their own hair if they wanted to. I would definitely recommend them. They also deliver if your are close which saves me all the time. Thanks for everything Judy!!

Closed the doors before they were supposed to be closed. My wife and i rushed from ogden to get there in time. Somebody was in there but waved us on saying they are closed. Pathetic. Even though posted time for closing wasnt for 15 minutes!
