I grew up in California, this has always been one of my favorite food joints. I was so excited to have one in Utah. I told my fiancé how good this place was and we had to got here. I ordered us my favorite burrito (poblano burrito). I was so stoked I dove right in and got about a 1/4 through my burrito and looked at my fiancé and said it tastes so much better in California. I went in for another bite, this time I got mostly chicken. As I was chewing it, it felt really chewy and lukewarm. I spit it out. The chicken was raw. I opened up the rest of my burrito to discover it was all raw. Not panicking and still defending one of my favorite food joints I requested another burrito. At this time my fiancé was nervous about hers so she opened hers up. As she was picking through her burrito my freshly made one came out. She started seeing raw chicken as well. I told her to bring her burrito what had maybe 3-4 small bites taken out and ask for a fresh one. I waited to dig into mine until she got hers, a few minutes later our 4th burrito was delivered to us. We both opened them up at the same time to check... No joke and not fabricating this at all. Her burrito was completely raw. I told her to rewrap it and lets go home. I told the manager I was going to contact the health department (I did), I asked for a refund and got one. I showed my soon to be father in law her burrito. With in seconds he noticed the chicken was totally raw and asked where we got it. I told him what happened. I never complain about food, I have worked in the food industry for 10 years. The reason I am complaining this time, I have either been sitting or hugging a toilet for 3 days now. El Pollo Loco, you had a loyal customer who talked highly of you. As of June 2nd 2016, you have lost my support as well as my fiancés and her parents. I hope others read this post before eating at this establishment. Sincerely, A lost customer.

Very poor customer service. We went to this restaurant twice. Both times during lunch hour. Once when they were running a special shrimp deal but after taking our order the manager came back stating that they dont have any shrimps. The 2nd time we went, again after taking our order he stated they ran out of all sodas. He thinks that by giving us a free drink next time or so he is doing us a favor when we refused free drinks because we told him that its not a matter of money as any restaurant you go to, You are there to feed your family by knowing the cost associated and not to just get free drinks and be refused service twice. We reminded the manager that this has happened 2 out of 2 times that we are here and he ripped the order receipt telling us that he will try to run the store better gradually. Managers body language, his intent to show empathy dont reflect any honest effort towards his customers or making their experience better.

I have been to many el Pollo locos and this West Jordan location is by far the worst. Went on a Wednesday evening after the usually dinner rush (8:30 pm) and found the place to be big disappointment. Placed my order and was not impressed overly dry chicken for my personal taste. The restaurant it self was disgusting every vacant table was not cleaned and the looked to not have not been cleaned from previous customers or the day in fact the table we sat at was located by a wall that was covered in food and dirt we spent a good 45 min in the place and not once did the young employees or management do any cleaning.. if this said Im not to sure how the cooking/kitchen area is being kept up with cleaning and heath codes.. we will not be eating at this West Jordan location anytime in the future and will be making a formal complaint.

Dont go here this food is gross.

Decent chicken although horribly small pieces. Are you cooking quails? Salsa bar was very good. Might try again if Im not very hungry. Round 2: Salsa bar is still great but the chicken is still terribly small and overcooked. I might bring a super market rotisserie chicken in and just buy some sides and feast on salsa. Round 3: I started buying a chicken at smiths ( half the price, twice the size and not overcooked) and stop in for a large side of mash and raid the salsa bar. Id be more than happy to buy the chicken from here but they cook it to about 200 degrees. Note: stay away from the mac and cheese, its worse than kraft.

I feel like this place has gone downhill since it first opened. The girl working the drive thru was rude and made us feel rushed. Could be that we were interrupting her dinner since all we could hear through the speaker was her smacking down on some food of her own. Our order was given to us with the salad dressing clearly spilled all over the entire bag, yet she still sent us on our way (with no apologies). Order was wrong. Avocados on the salad were old and hard. Not to mention the taco shell was burnt, which matched the dry ass burnt chicken in all of our meals. No customer service. No fresh food. No thanks.

Went here last Saturday with my best friend. It seemed like a good thing to try. But it didnt quite turn out as expected. For one, the chicken was horribly dry. Is it normal for chicken to appear blackened and crispy? KFC sells extra crispy, but thats fried. Ive never seen baked or rotisserie chicken blackened to a crisp and taste so dry. And then not thirty minutes later, I was in the bathroom because something didnt agree with me. Not sure if it was the "dry as hell" chicken, the steamed broccoli or the mac n cheese. Im guessing it was the mac n cheese. So ... never again.

I love this place but today they seriously messed up. we ordered four burritos 2 with no sour cream and all with chicken. They were about to close and since its a Saturday they do not open on Sundays so anyways the burritos had sour cream and none of them had any chicken in them and we called to get our money back and they wont be able to until freaking Monday and I am out of food for the rest of today so thanks for messing up my meal

I placed a to-go order @ 6:42 p.m. and I am still waiting 20 minutes later. The staff is overwhelmed, and food for the in-restaurant patrons was taking over 10 minutes to be available. The rating is for the overall experience that I am having. There currently are over 10 of us waiting for food, with 4 more customers waiting to order. This is looking to be my last time that I spend my money here. Save your time and go somewhere eles.
