Same thing happened to me as the guy below me "scammers, consumers beware". I went in for a quick inspection on my 2006 car, no problems whatsoever. They tell me my rear tires are too bald and there is dry rot. They took my 40 DOLLARS for inspection, PASS OR FAIL and sent me on my way. Now I am not an idiot, there was no way I was going to have them get tires for me + installation so I went down the street to tire kingdom and with a glance informed me that there was NO LEGAL reason why I should have failed. They said I could pull my car into the shop and they would pass my vehicle immediately. Long story short, went back to RIPOFF MIKE BUSHEYS AUTO and told them this. They huffed and they puffed but knew they were full of !@#$ and had no reason to fail me in the first place. They went to slap a sticker on my car and OH they have no stickers left to give me so I STILL have to go back Monday morning to get my sticker from these jerks. So they finally passed my perfectly legal car but they didnt have any stickers to give me, can someone say illegal operation?

walburga - Nov 3, 2011 ABSOLUTE RIPOFFS! After going to them for 10 years +, and needing an inspection, I took my car into them. My car did not pass the test so they looked for the problem. They told me I needed a $900.00 - $1000.00 repair to pass inspection and that I needed to do it IMMEDIATELY or I would severely damage my car. I took my chances and went elsewhere (another shop I had gone to before) and was told that, though it was not an emergency, it would not pass inspection as it was and that it would cost me $400. I had them do it and my car passed the test. Having, (idiotically as it turns out) trusted Mike and his son Alex(?) Bushey and some guy named Bob at Bushey Auto Repair for all those years, I dont even want to consider how much my friendly mechanic down the street has been ripping me off for!

These folks were called via AAA to tow my car out of a small ditch in the driveway. The driver didnt even bother to get out of the car to survey the situation. Said that our driveway (with less than an inch of snow) needed to be plowed and he was worried about our car sliding in to his truck. The car itself was less than tow car lengths from the end of the driveway. You would think they were a city company not a Vermont tow company. Not helpful at all!

Terrible place. I am new to the area, and wanted to stop in to talk about a possible inspection. After sitting around for nearly 3 minutes watching the two of them talk and joke around and completely ignore me... I left. Thankfully, it turns out they are terrible at what they do, so I really dodged a bullet. Ill never go back.

Nobody bothers to post a review when their towing experience goes well, but Mike has done a good job for me on two different occasions. He is dependable and will be there when you need him, especially for jobs that are somewhat out of the ordinary.

DO NOT GO TO. My family has had nothing but problems with their car repairs. Almost became legal.
