This is my daughters second school year in the Fitwize after school program. We love this place! We "tried out Fitwize" by attending a tumble class followed by a few of their summer camps. They were great experiences, so we signed up for the after school program. Were enrolled for most of the Fitwize summer camps this summer (2015) and already confirmed for the 2015/2016 school year in their after school program. The kids get homework time (homework actually gets completed and checked), they get 45 minutes of structured fitness time. My daughter’s favorite Fitwize workout is the Kid version of a Zumba class which is held once a week. The after school program is well structured (snack, homework, fitness...but also has ample free time for everything from board games and cup stacking to playing outside in their large fenced area and doing fitness related games). They also teach nutrition and fitness as part of the after school program. The staff is well trained, professional, engaged, respectful and great with the kids. There is also very low staff turnover and they keep the facility clean! The owner is also very hands on and always quick to address any question or concern. We take advantage of the Tumble program being onsite. The after school staff delivers her to the tumble side of the facility for her tumble class, then returns her to after school. Fitwize has also teamed up with East Coast Edge Dance Studio, which is in the same complex of buildings. One day a week, Fitwize takes my daughter to her East Coast Edge dance class and brings her back to Fitwize. This is GREAT! This allows my daughter to have two after school activities (Tumble and Dance) that would otherwise be difficult to do because of my work schedule. . It really is a safe, happy and healthy environment. Im so glad we found them and couldnt be happier with our experience there.
