Ive been going to Planet Fitness since September 1. This operation is perfect for a guy like me: overweight, over 40, way out of shape. They are not kidding when they say no critics. Ive never felt uncomfortable there. Since starting, I try to go at least 4 to 5 times a week for 45 to 60 minutes each time. Combined with trying to eat better, Im down about 15 pounds in two months. Better still I much more flexible and much stronger. I can definitely feel a difference. I used to go to the gym frequently, but gave it up a while ago. The staff have been very friendly but if you expect them to wander around and help you, its not that kind of gym. Youre pretty much on your own. Thats fine for me, but some people might like a little more coaching. Traffic does pick up between 6 and 8 PM, but Ive never had to wait for a machine. Other times of the day its not nearly as busy. Only once have I seen a machine out of service. And it is always impeccably clean. The other users seem to be quite considerate of each other. There are multiple stations around the gym with disinfectant spray and paper towels and most people take great care to wipe down the machines carefully after use. I bought the upgraded "black card" membership for $20 a month which allows me to use any planet fitness gym nationwide, and to bring my two sons with me as guests, just not at the same time. The upgraded membership also gives you access to tanning beds and some other machines like massage chairs. Frankly, I havent used them so I cant really rate them. If youre looking for a trim with many classes, a pool, social activities, daycare, etc., this is not your place. But if youre looking for a positive atmosphere, a few bells and whistles, a nice clean welcoming place, and a friendly staff, and a reasonable price, you should definitely check it out.

Although the staff is friendly, helpful and courteous, I am cancelling my membership after going to this facility for a couple of months for the following reasons: -- Facility floor is not cleaned enough -- No adherence to their own rules, guests in facility are using equipment with street clothes/shoes -- Routinely no soap in shower stall dispensers and no TP in the stalls! -- If you are serious about strength training, there are limited free weights, essentially dumbbells and a few bars with fixed weights amounts. -- Piped in music is often TOO loud...when wearing earphones my players music is drowned out by their speaker system -- Lastly and the final straw...staff trainers not using proper personal hygiene (thoroughly washing and drying their hands) after using the toilet. I have observed this now on three separate occasions. I notified management and nothing happened. The thought of a trainer demonstrating a machine and then having a guest use it is just too gross. Although I will pay more, I am going back to county facilities where you have more options to include a pool, equipment is well maintained and sanitary, and there are real free weight options. You get what you pay for. Although the $10 per month fee was attractive, I can no longer risk my health with limited training options and unsanitary conditions.

Great gym at a wonderful price! Very clean! Nicest planet fitness Ive been to and Ive been to several. Edit: My first post was when it was brand new. However, I do have some concerns. Personnel and management changes I believe have led to a decline in cleanliness of the gym. Equipment is well maintained. The place could use a good vacuuming as there is pet hair and just dust/dirt where the weights and machines are. Cardiovascular machines seem clean all the time and this is done first thing in the morning since I train 7 days a week at 7am. Mens bathroom is not kept up. Floor is dirty and changing rooms are always wet. Not sure why it lacks adequate drainage but its always wet back there. Only 1 or 2 soap dispensers work...sometimes there is no soap. I understand this is not a Golds Gym or something more expensive. But there are some basic things that need to be addressed such as cleanliness and making sure bathrooms are well stocked with soap. I think they need a new manager to make sure things are kept tidy.

Well I recently became a member this past weekend and I must say I actually really love the vibe and feeling that PF gives off. I come home after my workouts and brag to friends and family about hydromassages, the fact that I can bring a guest if I want without an extra charge, I can tan whenever Id like (if that was my thing) and I recently even found out that I can get free haircuts at PFs that have contain the locations and a beauty treatment as well! I must say Im glad I joined, it truly is a place of no critics and the workers are super friendly and the wifi works great! I have had some trouble figuring out how some machines work but its not a huge issue. Id say that if youre really considering going to a gym and really putting in effort plant fitness is the way to go. You can do your thing without having the heavy weight on your shoulders of being judged or watched or having links everywhere its a true no critic zone!

I have been looking for an affordable gym in this area. When i found out PF was opening up here, I signed up during opening time. I waited and waited and waited...... Finally its opened. I come home from work everyday passing the shopping plaza. The location is so convenient for me, the price is great and the locker room is clean at all times. The staff at the front desk greets members with smile. I like the time I go isnt too many people so I dont have to rush thru work-out. I cant find a better place to work than this one. Im so glad PF open this location. THANK YOU

Wow. This gym is great - a lot of treadmills and machines and other features. Very reasonable prices, and friendly staff. I like it for another reason - convenience. There is a very large parking lot right in front of the gym - and 2 stores away, there is a Chipotle - a place to get very good clean healthy food for a reasonable price. So I can go to this gym everyday, do some lat pulls, rear delts, pec flies, and interval train on the treadmills - maybe 15 or 20 minutes, then get lunch at Chipotle. I bring my own mountain spring water (public water supply?).

We love Planet Fitness as our gym! I like how there are no frills and no intimidation. It is cheap, and always clean. You would think that with a cheap membership, and them touting the no-frills environment, that it would be basic and kind of run-down. But, that is not the case. The equipment (there is a lot!) is always clean and in good condition. The locker rooms are very nice with ample lockers, hanging space, and a few shower stalls. I would recommend Planet Fitness to anyone looking for a serious, distraction-free, and economical gym experience!

This was my previous PF experience - and it was a good one. One I miss considering my current Planet Fitness options in Philly. This location was always: 1) organized - weights were where they were meant to be. some members left weights laying around, but the staff throughout the day always seemed to try to get them back to where they belonged 2) locker room was clean 3) machines were ( in general ) clean; they cleaned the cardio machines EVERYDAY, but the weight area / machines seemed to get a little less TLC. 4) staff were always friendly
