Ive been a member of this particular location for over 4 months now, and the staff is always very cheerful and provides me help whenever I need it. They keep the place very clean (always seems to be someone running hither and yon with a mop, its great), including the bathrooms/showers, and the equipment is reasonably well-maintained. I dont think anyone should complain about lack of equipment, weight-training or otherwise--they come right out and say in ALL their advertisements, this is NOT the place for people looking to undergo massive weight training, so dont expect that equipment or environment. For $10/month with no contract, you get more than enough choices, machine-wise, and in a clean, friendly environment. Throw in an extra $10/month with 1-year contract, and you can use ANY gym location, unlimited tanning and hydro massage--its been a wonderful, worry-free experience for me. I am very happy with my choice!

Once you get in if you move to another town they make it impossible for you to drop the payments even if you dont have any contract with them anymore. I work in DC and commute every day 1 hour to 1:30. They dont have Managers never in those stores. So they want me to drive 40 minutes to Manassas to cancel. But the Managers dont work on weekends or nights. Basically, managers are never there. Nobody can cancel your membership. I am so disappointed with the customer service in Manassas and Woodbridge. Their facilities are disappointing too. I used to go to the one in Ponce PR my experience was so good there and the gym was huge, so without even thinking about it I enrolled here. I regretted so much. The machines always broken, just a few machines and managers are never available. What a nightmare to discontinue my membership. So glad I am in a better gym now. But still paying this horrible gym.

I did join the gym for its value........... the gym is great for what its worth. BUT I wish reps told about the requirement to join the gym. I called twice to verify the promotion, but not once did anyone mentioned about the "voided check." it is not even stated in the website. Who would carry a checkbook when going to workout? I got really frustrated............ I asked if i could try out for a day, since i drove 20 mins. but the rep said, "its $20 to try out for a day." what the..........the promotion was $10 to join with $10 per month without any commitment. I did not see any point arguing, but............. i was frustrated beyond words can describe.............. I guess there is no corporate value of customer service or satisfaction...........it seemed as if, "what we offer is cheap, so we do not need to worry about customer satisfaction/service."

Awesome place to workout. The environment is nice, the equipment they use are friendly and not confusing. The gym I go to seem to have just the right amount of everything. I especially love the fact that its a 24 hour gym. Im a 2:30/3:00am workout person so this really work for me. I only have 2 problems with this gym and That is 1. They use the Smith machine free weights system for their bench. Its okay but it lacks range of motion, so I would suggest instead of the 6 smith machines put 2 actual free weight bench sets 2. Their dumbbells only go to 65lbs. I know this is to prevent the grunting but they could go up to at least 80lbs. Excellent gym on the whole and the cost of membership is phenomenal.

I have joined a lot of gyms and have never had one that I loved going to even because of the staff! I feel like waaaayyyy more than just some customer. I started out joining with my friend and she had to cancel not too long ago. They canceled it on the spot with no questions asked other than if they did anything wrong (which of course was a no). It was so easy. She just walked in and canceled. But seriously. I have the $20 a month membership (there is also a $10) and have unlimited tanning and can bring a guest with me every time I come. I paid more than that a month for just my tanning. LOVE IT!

Moved away and was unable to cancel my membership online or over the phone. I was told to mail in a letter stating that I wanted to cancel; it "never arrived." Finally was in town over the holidays, and took time out from actually visiting with my family to go to this dump and cancel in person. A month later, and Im still being billed for it. Contacted them over the phone, and they hemmed and hawwed and admitted that the account was cancelled, but couldnt come up with a reason as to why Im still being charged. Put me on hold and never returned. Planet Fitness is nothing short of fraud.

pretty great gym. i love that its 24 hrs, staff has been very friendly. i go late at night so its pretty empty, but its always clean, including the bathrooms. i also love utilizing the massage chairs. i just wish as a black card member i could use it for more than 10 mins (2 tokens). when i use the massage chairs im the only one there and since black card members have unlimited massage, i feel like i should be able to get more tokens while others arent there, but i cant. in all i like he place and would recommend.

Signing up was easy online. I read all the reviews as i sat on the couch eating a burger and a coke, and said what the heck. I might as well risk the money and regardless of the customer service negitives in most of the reviews. I figured i am 43 and an ex golds gym member, i know the gym equipment and unless there is some wild new type of equipment or ediquet you may have to know. I should be good. Ill try it tommorrow morning for the first time. April 20 2011. Ill let you know how it goes.

Been a member here for over 2 years now ... lots of state-of-the-art equipment, friendly staff. Take advantage of the FREE personal training, I thought I knew what I was doing there by watching others, however found I was doing it all wrong. Its a must ... since I followed their instruction, I gained noticeable muscle mass and lost weight in the process! I dont know when I got so much for just $10 a month! Place is open 24x7 Mon-Fri ... free lunch and breakfast once a month.

If Im looking for a gym I want to read reviews about how clean and safe the place is, or about the machines and the kind of people that goes there. It is nor helpful to read reviews like "ron" that got upset bc he didnt get a free week. Dude, being a soldier doesnt mean that you will get everything free or cheaper. It is your business if you are leaving in a week. Do not make a business look bad bc of that. Not cool dude!

So Im leaving for Iraq in a week, and I called to see if the gym would be willing to let me work out for my last week in the country. Of course I was willing to pay BUT, I was told that the gym could only offer a 20 dollar per day pass or 49 dollars for the entire month. My question is doesnt that negate their 10 dollar a month plan?? Hey planet fitness way to support the troops keep up the good work......
