I left this gym in Dec 2011cancelling in person. After a friend told me about a problem with canceling his membership and continuing to be billed afterward, I contacted Jackie Hicks the Manager by email making sure I would be free and clear. In this email I provided my current email address and phone number. She confirmed as of Feb 2012 I would be good to go via email. I just got a call from a debt collection agency that I owe $167 for unpaid dues. I called and emailed Jackie to inquire how this could be. She never got back to me. I went in to the gym to meet with her in person. She told me I actually owe the club $250 and that my last payment was never paid, and because of this they kept me as a member charging me every additional month. When I asked her why I was not informed until 5 months after the fact and why have I not I received anything in the mail or by phone, her answer was, mail was returned a few months into the delinquency. My address was wrong in her system. She admitted to entering my address wrong into the system. She also tried an old phone number on my contract. Again, she did not try the current phone number or email address that she had corresponded with me only months prior. This gym is not worth the trouble. I would not recommend anyone signup as a member. Avoid Anytime fitness to keep from future hassle.

Stay away from this gym. My wife and I cancelled our membership due to increasing bad experiences. Our concerns were confirmed when we did cancel. The cancellation experience was very bad as the manager tried to get an extra $260 (which was not consistent with our contract terms) and insulted my wife with several profanities and derogatory remarks in front of our four-year old daughter. A good business would have asked why we wanted to leave and tried to resolve any reasonable issues. An OK business would have processed our cencellation request and sent us on our way. A bad business does what happened to us at Anytime Fitness in Bristow VA. It is really sad because the owner deals with customers well, but has trusted his gym to someone with no people skills that runs off gym members and staff.

Decided to visit this gym today, as my regular Anytime Fitness in Manassas Park is renovating and closed. This gym was a BIG disappointment. If you use the barbells to workout, you better be prepared to hunt for the weights. None of the weights are racked in any order. Evidently, members have no clue HOW to re-rack the weights. 2.5# weights loaded behind the 45#s and good luck finding a 10# weight. Ive never seen a gym that was so disorganized. Lots of equipment, but in a very small space.

I love Anytime Fitness. It is open 24 hours a day, is always clean, and they have the equipment I am looking for. Jackie the manager is great and I would work out anywhere she worked.
