Ive been cutting my haircut here by Mr. Lee and a couple of other barbers there when Mr. Lee isnt available. Mr. Lee is a man and barber with boundless energy. He always greets every customer as well as says goodbye. He is friendly, though a bit loud. It can be a bit difficult sometimes when I try explaining how I want my hair to be cut. Mr. Lee doesnt like this and has a strong tendency to talk over you while you try explaining. This frustrates me even though he is a Master Barber. Mr. Lee could do a better job if he talked less, listened more to the customer. Mr. Lee is a great barber. The shop especially Mr. Lees station looks filthy and needs a thorough cleaning. Hair all over the place. His brushes and other tools are full of hair, nothing is sterile there. He has stacks of magazines piling up everywhere and his station is cluttered with all kinds of interesting junk. I love Mr. Lee but as a barber I think he has gotten lax on some of the house keeping chores and keeping a neat, clean and organized station. Nobody wants a barber to brush their hair with a filthy brush that has been on the heads of hundreds of customers without being washed and cleaned. The other barbers there are very quiet. I dont believe they speak English very well. But if you want a good cut, see Mr. Lee, avoid the other barbers. They are not as good as Mr. Lee. One barber there wont even tell you her name. As barber shops go these days, this is the dirtiest barbershop I have ever visited but Mr. Lee knows how to cut my hair and that is the main consideration. CLEAN YOUR SHOP MR. LEE!!

Sorry to bust the bandwagon of great reviews... I was a regular customer for 3+ years and everything was good until last Tuesday (8/2/10). I got the haircut from one of the older ladies who I guess is Mr. Lees employee. She cut a lot of hair just behind the right ear and when I pointed it to her, instead of admitting her mistake, she said that "My hair are like that, there were not too many hair over there". And then she proceeded to make the left ear the same way too. Upon pointing this out to Mr. Lee, all he could say was "Oh, Boy!". When I asked for an answer, he just turned away and started tending to another customer in his chair. Everybody makes mistakes, but you got to own the mistakes you made. That was all all I was looking for as nothing could be done for the damage. But no, neither the lady, nor Mr. Lee had anything to say. So much for the customer service and great Mr. Lee. I was so disappointed that I will not be going to go to that shop again.

Mr. Lee is the man and has been cutting hair for years! Just dont try giving him too much instruction. He knows what hes doing and will make sure you look good! He does a great fade but also knows how to use scissors to leave some length on top. I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted but ultimately he just did his thing and I left with the best cut Ive ever gotten. He also finishes of with a straight razor around the ears, sideburns, and back of the neck which is a great! The environment there is also great and Id highly recommend Mr. Lee to anyone looking for a great barber that does more than just simple buzz cuts and fades. The other barbers there are capable but personally I go to see Mr. Lee!

My boyfriend and I stopped by as a part of trying out new barbers in the area. He got his hair cut first and they did an excellent job. They were also all very friendly! The next time we visited, we both got hair cuts and it was super nice. They really take their time with your hair and make conversation so it does not feel like forever. As a woman, I am sometimes hesitant to get my hair cut at a barber shop, but I was not disappointed. I came here after Hair Cuttery REALLY messed up my hair. They did a GREAT job of fixing it. Boyfriends hair cut was $12+tip and mine was $20 + tip. TL; DR: Super friendly. Skilled at both men and womens hair cuts. Reasonably priced. Cash Only.

If you like military cuts, this is certainly the place for you. The give you the whole shabang with the straight edge razor. I like to style my hair a little bit with gel, and I told the younger gal that I wanted a 3guard on the sides and fade it up top and leave a bit to style. I just got a high and tight, and it was WAY too high with no fade at all. I usually go to Royal barber, but tried this place out. I may just wait for Mr Lee next time. I was in there and he was cutting peoples hair, but people that came in specifically wanted to just wait for him. He really is a nice guy and talks a lot like a barber. The other gals are just purely business.

Mr Lee has been cutting my hair for over 15 years. Hes seen me go from a man in his mid 20s with a head full of hair to a man closing in on 40 with a bald spot and receding hairline... 90% of the cuts hes done have been military cuts from skin fades to full on high and tight flat tops. No one else will cut my hair as long as Im in this area and as long as Mr. Lee is around. Ill come in and wait for him when his line is 6 deep and the other barbers have empty chairs.

Im speechless. I wish I could post photos of how my hair looks like.. One side of my head has hair three times longer than the other side. This is after two people tried to cut my hair. I still gave a $15 tip for effort, but I honestly dont think they will see my business any longer. This is so unfortunate because they would have seen me every week since I just moved down the street. I dont understand how they got such great reviews.

The first day I moved to Centreville back in June 2005, I came here to get my haircut. Ive been coming back ever since, even though I now live in Herndon. Good service. Fair price. Haircuts are quick too. Most of the time there are a bunch of people waiting, but 90% are waiting for Mr. Lee, so dont go back home if you think youre going to have to wait forever. All of the other employees are very good too.

Mr. Lee has that personal touch which we now miss a lot in Service Industry. Its so amazing that he remembers your name and the style you want usually for your hair. I have gone many places and this is the end of my search for my hair cutting as long as Mr. Lee is in business. God bless him !!

If you can get Mr. Lee, you will get a near perfect haircut at a great price - otherwise, i would recommended skipping this shop. My husbands beard was butchered, and my son got a cut nothing like what he asked for.

Walked in and got a hair cut for the advertised price. Quick and what I expected. Happy with the results. Only draw back was that it is cash only. Luckily I had enough in my pocket and car to pay the tab.
