I arrived at this barber shop and no one was waiting inside. Just one guy cutting hair and no other patrons. Before he finished the cut he was doing, two people came in and he began to talk more than cut. Once He was finished, he informed me that the guy that had walked in AFTER me was next. That cut took half an hour while he talked. Once that guy was done, he told me the girl that walked in with the guy was next. I wait 45 minutes only to walk out of pure frustration. Go somewhere else. This shop isnt worth the time. 8/7/10

Shave felt nice, the result was not! $25 wasted - the last time Ill ever try something new on a whim. The old guy who gave me a shave missed a huge spot on my upper lip and only half of my face ended up smooth to the touch. My sideburns are now totally uneven as well. My facial hairs are very think but not very dark so I didnt notice until I got to my car and looked in the rear view mirror. Awful. I did not trust him to fix it. Instead I immediately went home to "finish" what he started. You have been warned.

I usually get my hair done at Sports Clips. This barber shop was much better and pretty fast. I think hes the only barber, so I imagine it could take a while if theres a line. He wasnt too chatty, which was nice for me, but Im sure he would talk with you if you wanted to. Most importantly, the haircut was precise and better than any other place Ive been to in Charlottesville. Definitely will be going back. The ambiance is a little cluttered and dirty, but thats just part of the character.

Dont go here if you dont want a trim or a crew cut. I come here when I need my hair short, since the chain places handle a crew cut like they just read it out of a book before grabbing the scissors. I havent had any problems with uneven haircuts.

Very friendly community barbershop. Good place to get to know the locals/area. Not as crowded as Staples up by Barracks Road. Definitely a local gem with a lot of local character and charm. I would definitely go back.

Old school barber shop experience. Even does straight razor and hot lather around the ears and neck. Has lollipops for the kids and always chatting about current events. You cant beat it.

Not an impressive hair cut to say the least. Nice guy, but he spends more time talking than cutting. We had to set up another appointment with someone else to fix the uneven haircuts.
