I ABOSULTELY love love love Mystique!! The ladies at the salon are more like family than friends. If you are looking for a fun upbeat atmosphere to get any sort of beauty service I HIGHLY recommend checking them out. The entire staff is nothing shy of warm and welcoming. From offering you a drink, to making you feel absolutely beautiful, these classy ladies always treat you like you are their number one customer. Literally my entire family goes there and we have all ALWAYS had a pleasant experience. My mom (who currently lives bi-coastal) will not let anyone touch her hair until she’s back at the salon in Chesapeake. She trusts her stylists’ (Amanda) work so much so, that she tells her to cut and color her hair in whichever way she thinks is best suited for her. I on the other hand, continually bring in photos to Amanda (varying from cuts to colors) and she always matches them dead on. Even better, she always tells me what will and will not work based on my skin tone and facial structure. The staff is more about doing what’s best for you than pocketing your money. I have been going there for over two years and every time I leave Mystique and step out into the public I get a plethora of compliments. On my first visit I went from at-home, over processed, dried, and fried blonde hair to my natural silky soft red (a hard color to match) in just one visit compliments of Wendy. I consider each and every staff member to be an expert in their field based upon first hand experience. These lovely ladies even go as far as to educate you on products, your skin type, and your hair. Owner and esthetician, Amy Brox, operates an amazing salon with exceptional staff. If you crave an upscale salon without the arrogance this is the place to be. This is the only salon I have ever stepped foot in where every single staff member engages in conversation with you. I highly recommend Mystique to everyone and I can’t imagine somebody having a poor experience.

My husband purchased gift certificates for me, and I had an opportunity to use some recently at Mystique. This was not my first time here, I had massages before from Kristen, who does exceptional work. Most recently, I had the body scrub, massage, intro facial, and classic pedicure. Nicole did my massage, body scrub, and intro facial and I feel that she did a really wonderful job with all of these services. My skin looks and feels amazing. Wendy did my pedicure, and she also did a wonderful job - my feet look and feel really great. She has a very outgoing and pleasant personality. The only reason I was unable to give an "excellent" rating is that I feel the receptionist (Ariel) could have been friendlier. When making the appointment she was short with me and I received the same impression in person. As I was paying with my gift certificates, I had a question and after she explained the answer asked me, "Do you get it?" I feel that was rude of her to ask in that way, because it insults the intelligence of the customer. Asking, "Does that make sense?" is a much better way to ensure a customer understands what you are explaining. Mystique, please give Ariel some additional customer service training so I can come back and give your business the score it deserves. I can assure you that you will lose some business over it if it remains unaddressed. Thank you for an otherwise wonderful experience!

2 days I ago I went in Mystique Salon with a photo of how I wanted my hair done. I requested that I wanted my hair to be done very similar to the pic which was in the style of "high and lows" and most of it was platinum blonde in the pic. After we got started the hair dresser asked me if I was on a budget, (which was kind of fishy) and I told her I had a 100.00 gift card that my husband purchased and he didnt mind if I went over a little bit. The whole process was took about 4 hours and the lady was very friendly during the four hours. When it came to the drying hair part I think she started to realize that my hair wasnt turning out the way I requested because she started to explain that she didnt want to put too much blonde in my hair becuase of I had well water and it would just turn orange (it wouldnt because Ive had my hair blonde before) and she saw my reaction and we took a fieldtrip outside so she could show me that my hair was more "blonder" in the sunlight. I wish I would of spoke up how disapointed I was but I guess Im too much a nice person and I was hurting from sitting for 4 hours. Each day that passes I feel more upset about how my hair turned out but feeling like I have to just except that I spent almost $200 and 4 hours for something I didnt want. Also I had to redo my bangs because they were very uneven. :(

Mystique Salon and Skin Spa is not just a great salon, but its a wonderful experience! When you walk through the front door, you are greeted by smiling faces! AJ, who typically works the front desk always remembers names! I appreciate her humor and her professional presentation at the front of the Salon. Amy is the owner of Mystiques, is highly competent and a joy! I recommend learning about the microderm she provides. I appreciate that she is certified, and can provide effective advice regarding skin and hair care. Further, Amy, who has been in Great Bridge/Hickory for years, is not only known by locals in the area, but is esteemed in the wedding industry. She can guide you with decision-making and provide you with professional contacts. The few times I have received color and cuts from Mystiques, I have been thoroughly impressed. The young stylist, Lauren, who did my hair knew her stuff! She provided me with perspective and with skill that she credited the owner, Amy, and her teaching styles in the Salon. I received much compliments on Laurens styling! If youre looking for a new Salon for hair color and styling, a transformation in your skin (facial x100!), or a locally owned business... Mystiques is the place to go!

I have been a client for over a year now and can not imagine going to another salon. All of the staff are all wonderful and professional. I look forward to my appointments because of how well they cater to their clients and how much fun it is in the salon, I always feel like Im visiting good friends. On top of that my hair always looks amazing when I leave. I have alot of rather unruly hiar and the highlight I get always look great and I get constant compliments on them. I also love that all of the stylist are always full of suggestions for new creative things to try. More than anything else the staff is always accomadating. One night when I was getting my hair done, both Amanda and Amy stayed almost an hour past their closing to finish drying and straightening my hair. At any other salon I have gone to that would have never happened. Mystique is by far the best salon I have been to in this area. I LOVE it!

Great salon! I have been to a lot of salons in the area in search of the salon I could call "home". Well, Mystique is it. Amy, the owner is wonderful. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My stylist, Amanda loves what she does and it shows in the time she takes to make me feel great and look super fantastic. With every haircut, and every hair color session I have come to appreciate and crave Amandas suggestions. I have had such a great experience at Mystique, and they go above and behind in the customer service department. For example, I am terrible about making appointments before I leave, so I always have to call and make a last minute appointment. They have made the effort to accomodate me, which I appreciate. Other salons would be like- "Sorry you are out of luck.", but not Amy. She makes every effort to make her clients happy. I can not imagine having anyone else touch my hair.
