I called ahead to make appointment and ask for someone that had experience with my hair type. The receptionist paused and acted like I was asking a dumb question but did suggest someone. Never have I been treated so rude. Then I arrived at my appointment. The lady was nice, the place was nice, the receptionist needed an attitude adjustment. I was of course very sceptical in the cut I was going to get. I explained everything. She did a pretty good job but took 2 hours to cut and style my hair! Its never taken so long. And usually I get a shoulder and neck massage at Aveda salons - here I did not.

I have been a very satisfied customer of Hidden Oasis Spa Salon for many years. As soon as you enter the salon, you can relax because the stylists will make you feel comfortable and calm and will do their very best to make sure all of your hair care needs are met. Asrate always provides me with outstanding highlights and cuts! She is extremely kind and courteous, and listens very carefully to you in order to insure your complete satisfaction. I also love the Aveda line of products - very effective yet gentle for your hair! Give Hidden Oasis a try before the holidays. Youll be glad you did!

I went to Hidden Oasis on advice and I was extremely impressed. They give you undivided attention and prioritize their tasks better than any other place I have been. At other salons the stylists talk on the phone to customers and chat with other stylists, here that is not the case. I asked the stylist to do what she thought would look nice and I came out as a happy customer. Every-time I hear someone complain about their haircut I immediately refer them here. Bottom line, Hidden Oasis is a great choice in quality and a great experience.

I had another great vist at Hidden Oasis this weekend. Every time I go I find myself totally satisfied with the service and staff. The new Avati hair treatment left my hair feeling much fuller with great body. Of course, the color came out great. I had great visit this weekend. My stylist (Lydia) knew exactly what I wanted and I left feeling very happy with color and highlights. The AVEDA product line is a big thing to me. I just dont like harsh chemicals on my hair and AVEDA seems the best. Go South County Stallions!

I went there to have my makeup and hair done for my wedding. I did not schedule a consult before hand, but probably should have. I was incredibly upset by the makeup. I was told I would look "natural" and instead looked goth or raccoon-like with no time to change before the ceremony. I was also a little disappointed with my hair. I spent a great deal for the updo, and felt like I could have done the same if not better.

Worst salon for color/highlights. The color and highlights they did looked like I did it at home with a frosting cap.... very amateurish. Clearly, they need to go back to school and learn how to do natural looking highlights. Not only that, but if you are not happy, they get angry with you. Very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend this place (or Lydia) to anyone.

Lydia has done a great job with my hair and has found some great ways to deal with my thick hair while trying to grow out my bangs. The staff are always very friendly. As a military wife I always try to find an aveda salon wherever we go because you can expect a certain standard of stylist. They have been better to most that Ive visited in a handfull of states!

Fairfax Station now gets Great cut and color. Lydia did a great job for me. Im delighted. This place is a great value. Highly recommended and hard to beat in Fairfax Station. We have a salon that we can trust and we dont have to drive into Alexandria anymore.

Lydia has been cutting my hair for years, and always does a great job. Last year I started using the Aveda make-up line and I am very happy with it.

if you are thinking about trying this salon think again, the color and cut were horrible and i had to go to another salon to have it fixed!!!
