I came home from overseas at the end of Nov 2015. I joined Skyline Sport & Health so I could keep some momentum of my workouts going. Its now been a year and I just submitted my request for termination as I am once again going back overseas. BUYER BEWARE.... Because I submitted my request for termination on the 1st of November, I was told I would still owe for all of December. O_O What? Why? "Its in your contract." This was what I was told by Jenna in customer service.... "Per your membership agreement, if the cancellation notice is received between the first day and the twenty-fifth day of the month, the agreement shall terminate as of the last day of the first full calendar month following the date of such receipt. We received your request to cancel on November 1st; therefore, your December billing is valid." After a year? I would not have remembered this information. Its like that Liberty Mutual commercial...blah blah blah. Furthermore? IF the person who gave me member services number the day before on the 31st had just cancelled my membership instead right there in the club? I wouldnt owe December dues. Also I paid $50+ the first time I joined that gym a few years ago. This time I paid $39 a month because I found out my neighbors were paying even less. Skyline Sport & Health is all about deals when they want to be. I guess they get you one way or another on your way out the door. I dont appreciate any business tricking me especially when someone could have closed my account when I first asked instead of roping me into another month of fees when I wont even be in the country. Real nice customer appreciation. One last thing...the customers there are REALLY bad about wiping down equipment once theyre done sweating all over it as well as talking on their cell phones during their work outs. There is little enforcement of gym etiquette or respect for other people here.

This place will fool you...it looks nice from all around, but it sucks...check out the weight area where there are lumps on the floor, and the weights are strewn everywhere. Check out your locker room if you go early in the mornings....some toilet stations have no toilet paper. Thank goodness theres those toilet seat covers. Then, lets step into the shower area. Know which showers have the most power? The ones where the soap in the containers are gone. But then you cant close the shower curtains because its all ripped up and then when you do try to close the shower curtain you notice the mold on them. Okay, go to another shower stall and get the feeling that a water fountain type of weak stream is going to clean you and you wonder why the water never gets hot. This place will fool you. The staff is short of help, and its not the staffs fault. Management cares only about making money. Go ahead and ask tennis players how much it costs to rent a court and some of the penalties behind being late. Ask why there is so much of a difference between membership dues where people pay around $30 a month, and then ask WHY it costs money to term your membership? This place will fool you. Management doesnt care...try writing them a note about fixing something. Ha hahahahahahahahahahahaaa

Its across the street from my condo. And, a couple of the trainers, really know their stuff. Thats the good news. The bad news is, there is a poisonous and strained relationship between management and employees. The "no cell phone" rule, posted widely here, is routinely flouted, even by staff. Trainer turnover is 100% annually. The gym abounds with dirty towels, trash, empty water bottles, the "cleaner" (I use the term loosely) walks right by them (I pick them up for them, well, someone has to). If you are working out on a mat, the cleaner runs her vacuum right up next to your head. What, this bothers you? Suck it up! Badly cracked leather on machines goes unfixed, for months, years, really (my multiple written complaints go ignored). If you are out of town and wish to suspend your membership, they only recognize "whole months", anything less, no credit, no sir. And, yeah, the tow truck comes and tows you away from the parking lot, member or not. Sure, tow this guy, we cant be bothered to check if hes a member, or not. Worst service ever, wherever.

I have been a member for many years and have seen lots of changes take place during that time and they have all been for the better. The addition of Zone 4 is great as I like to try different exercise formats and Tom is great. There are tons of group exercise classes and my personal favorite is Zumba Strong. Daniela is a fantastic instructor, very high energy, always encouraging and smiling, its no wonder her class is always packed!! Shannon who teaches Tae Bo is another great instructor too, in fact all of the group exercise instructors are pretty awesome. You can tell they all really love what they do. I cant write this post without giving a shoutout to the management team - Terri, Dakota, Mary, Moses & Shane, Carol and her staff in the tennis department, the personal trainers, Jackie and the front desk crew and last but not least, the housekeepers that keep the place spic and span. All in all, I have to say Onelife Skyline has got it going on!! #MyClubIsBetterThanYours :-)

I just moved to the area and had to transfer my membership. Went to the skyline location, the building is old in need of major repairs. Great classes. The gym has a lot to offer it really just needs an upgrade, since it is not cheap. The other major issue i had was the kidzklub, in order for your kids to be allowed in a reservation has to be made 24 hours in advance with the time you plan on coming or that same morning but you can not be certain there will be space. As a mother I never really know what time i will be able to go to the gym and now if i forget to call or can;t go at the time i said i could i lose my reservation, keep in mind I am paying for a family plan, i feel like i should be able to drop of my kids without making a reservation. other wise kids should be free since you never know if you can bring them in or not. I have been with sports and health for years and at none of the other gyms is this child care reservation a policy.

Straight to the point. Limited equipment both in weights and cardio (old and out of service too often). The building is old. Showers, toilets and lockeroom as a whole sooo dirty and smelly. Predatory towing in front of the club, yearly maintenance fee, oversold/overcrowded, unresponsive club management who blame senior management. Basically, Sport and Health is trying to cover this place with a feel of Country club where one can focus on fitness results only to justify the prices but really the place is a dump worse than Ballys. I go to Xsport, cleaner, newer, more equipment, parking, childcare, 24/7, no long term commitment...To the comment below, please do not mislead consumers...and for the owner replying...Just fix your club instead of worrying about comments on google!!!
