As a first time mom I was very worried about leaving my baby with anyone else but my family. However, it had been 18 months and my daughter definitely showed signs of wanting to socialize with other kids so it was time. Meadowland was recommendation by the owner of Angels Korner since they did not have any spots open so that is how our journey begun. We toured the place and the first impression was what mattered- the place was tucked away from busy roads and other businesses at the end of Royal Ln and it actually felt like a school. There was an actual person at the front desk who didnt let us go any further without explaining what are we there for and that made me feel safe that people cant just walk in and wander around. The place was spotless- clean and organized and at the end of the tour we decided to give it a shot. On the first day I dont know who was scared more- me or my daughter but we both cried and my heart was breaking. Everyone was very helpful in making the transition as easy as possible and after few weeks my daughter stopped crying when I was dropping her off which was a sure sign that she was enjoying her time there. She learned so much every day- her cubby was filled with artwork that consisted of few squiggly lines in crayon but made my heart jump for joy like Ive just seen Mona Lisa. She was singing ABCs and her knowledge of colors, shapes and numbers just solidified with every day. We were very lucky with the main teachers as well- Ms.Ashley and Ms.Deanna became like family members and once my daughter started excitedly saying their names in the car on our way to the daycare, I knew were going to be just fine. The day for each class is very structured and parents are presented with it at the beginning of the "school year". It includes age-appropriate activities as well as story time and outside play. In the summertime it also includes water play and bike day. They have countless art and science projects and they keep the kids very busy throughout the day. Of course, every daycare has its pros and cons and there are a few things that I dont agree with or would do differently but Ive learned to prioritize and choose my battles because I realize- no place will be 100% perfect. One of my personal and biggest cons would be variety in food thats provided. I probably am too picky and have never had to feed a small "army" of children so I imagine its challenging but as a fresh fruit and vegetable as well as unprocessed food advocate my daughter (and myself) struggled with it a bit. The food provided is definitely not bad but it is just not something that she was used to. In my opinion, every experience is what you make of it- Ive seen so many bad reviews about multiple daycares in town on facebook but none of those experiences will truly matter until you tour the facility, meet the teachers and see how problems and issues are being handled by the administration for yourself. There are some teachers that will mesh with you and your kid really well and there are some that wont and we had that experience as well but instead of "throwing a fit" we discussed everything with mutual respect and came to resolution. Parents also often overlook the importance of lending a kind word to their kids caregivers or simply saying hello, offering their help and being available. Relationships between teachers and parents are equally important in building a positive environment and foundation to your childs well-being so I really have nothing to complain about because every issue that weve had, has been discussed and resolved which is why Meadowland gets 5 stars from our family.

Being a first time mom I was looking for the best day care center, did not care that it cost a little more hoping that I was paying for quality care.(I was lied to about price in the beginning, but thats not the worst part) So after leaving my 6 week old where I was hoping he would be taken care of I was appalled. They had over 14 infants there and never washed their hands between each child, I know this because I would come visit my son on my lunch break. Every time I was in there they would tell me about another child being super ill, and all I thought to myself was no wonder, they may clean at the end of the day, but I felt like they did not do any preventive measures to prevent from spreading more germs. I understand that children will be exposed to germs and get sick, but I feel like a simple hand sanitizer can help! Since I would go on my lunch break I got to see more of the inner works, sure they hold your child when they see you driving up, but its pretty much a boarding facility. They change their diapers, feed them and lay them down. I never see them actually hold/nurture or even interact with any child there! I was also there many times when they did not have adequate staff in the room for the number of children. There was 1 or 2 staff members there that I believed they did care about the children, all the others were there for their paycheck or to just watch their OWN baby, Needless to say my son is no longer there, hes happier and so am I!

I have nothing but positive things to say about Meadowland. My children have been in this center since they were both 2 months old (oldest is about to turn five and is in pre-k and youngest to 2 1/2 years old). Ive never been concerned with their care. The staff love them and my kids have learned so much. My oldest actually knows more about his letters and numbers than his cousin who is in kindergarten.

My daughters go to Meadowland, love the woman there. There all sweet and caring! My ony issue is my 16 month old is ready to potty train and they dont assist in potty training until 24 months old. So i am looking into transferring them but other than that Meadowland is great!

I wasnt happy with this center at all. The food menu was all canned sugary/salty foods. Nothing even remotely healthy was offered. The administrative staff was incompetent and constantly made errors in our account. Would not recommend!!!

I would highly recommend this day care. They teach an astounding amount. They obviously care very deeply about their students on a personal level. Our kids adore all of their teachers.
