I came in this morning for a haircut with Carmen. Ive lived in NOVA for almost six years and have struggled to find a hair stylist that I like at a reasonable price. Through a referral from a friend I called up Illusions to make an appointment with Carmen. She was able to get me in this weekend at a time that was convenient for me. Carmen was so friendly and personable. I love how she cut my hair and the recommendations she gave me about washing/styling it. Also, she never tried to up-sell me on additional services. In other salons Ive been asked about color, highlights, and other services, but with Carmen I felt absolutely no pressure. I will definitely be back to see her at Illusions. The location is convenient and the atmosphere is welcoming! Thank you!

Im new to the area and just needed some highlights and to trim my layers and I went to Bubbles Salon. The woman at Bubbles dyed all of my hair the same color (copper/red) after I told her I did not want any red and I wanted some nice lowlights as well. I was so upset when I left the salon that I called Illusions and asked them to see if they could fix my hair. I just wanted my beautiful blonde highlights back. They not only fixed it right away without damaging it but also took me in immediately and discussed with exactly what they were going to do before they even touched my hair. I highly recommend this salon. The owner is lovely and Im thrilled to have found them.

I have been going to see Kathy for over four years now, and I can say that I will continue to go to she her as long as I live in the area. Both my wife and I go to Illusions regularly and we are always very pleased with the results. As to having to wait even if you have an appointment, yeah it happens but never thirty minutes and besides making sure your hair is done right is important to everyone, plus Kathy is worth the wait.

This place is great! Kathy, the owner, is so friendly and always does such a wonderful job with hair. Ive been going to her since she was with another company and followed her over when she opened this salon. The other stylists are fantastic as well and the prices are good. Ive referred so many people to Illusions because I know they will get great service and a great haircut. I highly recommend Illusions.

Took a chance on Illusions based on the "free haircut" sign and the reviews here. Kathy was super friendly and enjoyable to chat with and gave me one of the best highlights I have ever had, along with a fantastic short haircut. Im new to the area (and to dealing with hair in humidity) and she knew just what I needed. Definitely will be going back!

I switched from another local salon in Herndon and am glad I did. Carmen is pleasant and a professional stylist. It is nice to know we can have a great stylist locally that knows what her clients want. I have recommended her to several friends.

Dont bother making appointments since they theyll make you wait another 30 minutes on the regular... never going back.
