My husband and I chose Integrity of Locust Grove due in part to convenience (as we live in LOW) and also because we had a very positive experience at the Integrity location on Main St. in Culpeper. We had also chosen this location because I had heard that they had someone that knew a good amount about Subarus (my car is a 2011 STi) and I wanted to make sure that I had someone who knew what they were doing, as I have had multiple poor experiences with other shops. What started as a pleasant experience has turned into nothing short of a nightmare. We had one issue that we came in for (caused by our own inadequate mechanical skill) and instead left with a completely different issue, which has yet to be resolved. We got the car back on June 7th initially to discover the new issue, and I finally had my husband pick it up yesterday (the 11th of July), because after over a month, the issue was still not resolved and the car was sitting in the parking lot, not being worked on. They had told us they were doing one thing to the car, only for us to find out that they were doing something completely different. The only impression I was getting was that they had no idea what the issue was or how to fix it, and as this is my only vehicle, it was a bit unreasonable for them to keep my car for so long without keeping us informed about what was going on. Upon getting the car back, we have found that we are missing caps and covers in the engine bay and they had completely drained the Freon from the vehicle without mentioning it to us, or even better... replacing it (which was fantastic to realize on this wonderfully hot day). To say communication is lacking is a serious understatement. The only way any information about the status of my vehicle was relayed to us was by my husband calling or stopping in the shop. This shop has absolutely taken the top spot as the worst shop I have ever been to, and I would rather take my car elsewhere to have the issue resolved than to allow them to keep my car for another day. In my opinion, there are ZERO mechanics at this shop that should be considered for their "skill" with Subarus and I would not recommend taking your vehicle here if you would like your vehicle back in a timely manner and fixed correctly the first time. Or the second. Or the third. I have NEVER felt compelled to write a negative review for an automotive shop or any business before coming here. It is a shame that this shop is associated with the Integrity chain.

In direct response to Ariana Alexanders 1 star review and comments: The vehicle came to Integrity in poor running condition due to an incorrectly installed cam phaser and other work that was performed elsewhere. I corrected the original issue and a few others found during the repair process and even discounted the bill almost 7 hours of my own labor just to help keep the cost of the service down. The original engine had spun a bearing and when the new block was installed (prior to service here) the heads had not been properly checked or cleaned by a machine shop before installation, causing issues with the avcs system. The process had been discussed in person in depth and on more than one occasion. The car was then here for an additional length of time to diagnose the avcs issue that could not previously be addressed due to the original mechanical condition when dropped off for repair. As far as i know, the customer was not charged for parts or labor for the work provided on the second issue with the acvs system. We here at Integrity Auto Locust Grove take pride in the work we perform and attempt to satisfy the customer however we can. We service every make and model with skill and competence with a long track record of happy customers. The car came in with extremely low compression on #1 cylinder, and her husband informed me that the timing was off, from that I came to the likely conclusion that there were bent valves, not knowing until tear down that a cam phaser had somehow been incorrectly installed by someone else, also, the headstuds were not properly installed by whoever did them. And yes, I had the car a month, amongst other jobs I had to complete, like any other business. The fact of the matter is, there were preexisting conditions prior to the original complaint (that was corrected) that were compounded by incorrect parts installed and poor craftsmanship relating to the previous repairs. These complications arise when a car has been through several hands before arriving to a repair facility.

At many auto shops, Ive had mechanics try to overcharge me on everything, even oil changes. At Integrity, the name speaks for itself. We moved to Locust Grove in December, and Integrity is the only place we trust with our vehicles. I love that they seem to truly care for their customers and dont care about just making a sale. Bobby is always attentive, helpful and knowledgeable! He is a pleasure to work with! The mechanics interact with customers when they can, which I think is a nice touch. They were very quick with scheduling my appointments (even right before they closed on a Saturday!) and they also got me in for an inspection at the last minute. Customer service is everything, and Im so happy we found a reliable automotive company close to our new home!

I am VERY impressed with this auto shop. I took my car in for a state inspection recently, and wasnt sure if they would have time to fit me in because they were pretty busy. However, after I explained I was short on time, they were very accomodating and did what they could to make sure they fit me in quickly to get the inspection done, which only took about 10 minutes! The staff was super friendly, the pricing was reasonable, and I appreciated that they suggested possible areas of concern/future service but were not pushy and only offered service that needed to be done. I highly recommend this place!
