I initially booked with TripAdvisor to stay here, but was unable to due to double booking on TripAdvisors part. I will not be using them again. Ann, the innkeeper here went way above and beyond my expectations when she informed me of the double booking and suggested her friends cottage that wasnt too far from where she was located since she was full for the weekend. This past weekend was my me and my husbands 3 year anniversary, and we were SO thankful to meet someone who actually cares about people. Ann didnt have to set us up with her friend as it was NOT her fault we had been double booked. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage she suggested and upon checkout, we went to visit with her and she offered us a tour of her Inn in case next time we were interested in staying with her, which we definitely are! Its a beautiful place run by a very delightful woman that we hope to see again in the near future!

Great hotel with old history. If you are looking for modern this is probably not your hotel but I can give you three great reasons to stay here: Anne, Celeste and Larry. Anne greeted us with a smile and made us feel at home as the head manager. Celeste took extra time showing us our room and gave recommendations to the local area. We really did not come from the city to eat at franchise restaurants all the time. Larry was the chef that made the whole bed and breakfast experience worth while. Besides making it fresh after you sit down, he customized the breakfast for my picky kids even though there was no menu. Thanks Larry.

We came at a bad night for the kitchen, granted, but even if we hadnt waited 2+ hours for our meal this review wouldnt be positive. While the atmosphere for a restaurant/wine bar was very pleasant, the portion size and price were completely off. It was a tasty meal, but most restaurant appetizers are bigger and more filling than what my family received here. A small discount on just the food portion didnt make up for the experience. Cant recommend unless you absolutely have to enjoy a glass of wine outside in Luray.

Just returned from weekend with my husband in Shenandoah Valley and our stay at the Inn of Shenandoah. The Inn is beautiful and Ann the inn keeper, her son who cooked us gourmet breakfasts, and the other staff could not have been nicer. We stayed in the cottage with private entrance, large private deck, inside has all new beautiful wood floors throughout, garden tub, living room, bedroom and kitchenette. We give a very high rating for the beautiful, peaceful, Inn of Shenandoah.

The breakfast, prepared by Chef Larry, was delicious and the staff at The Inn of the Shenandoah are very friendly and provide comfort on many levels. The coffee was great and the food was fresh produce. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms have updated faculties, and the bed was a comfortable retreat after exploring Luray Caverns and Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah Valley.

The breakfast was delicious and Ann was a very personable and kind hostess. The bed was very comfortable, but there is a nearby fire station whose alarms may wake you up at night.
