We have a 6 month old and a 2 year old at this school and my husband and I have been very impressed with the teachers and staff during our experience. The staff is engaged, they have wonderful student of the month character education programs, the teachers often bring in prizes for the kids once they meet a milestone (e.g. mastering the potty, spelling their name, getting a "blue stick" etc.) and the bi-annual parent teacher conferences provide great feedback. There is good communication between the teachers and parents and the director is very responsive (she even knows almost all the kids by name.). We love the filed trips, the First Steps pets, music classes, spanish classes, and all the fantastic educational art work. Its expensive, but you get what you pay for and those dollars translate into high quality child care. I never worry about my children when they are at school!

Very unprofessional and no transparency. I have scheduled a visit and went with my husband to meet the admission coordinator and we have agreed on everything, this meeting was on Friday at 4:00 pm. Im calling on Tuesday to confirm the enrollment of my son and I found them saying sorry we cannot enroll your son because there is no available spots. This doesnt make any sense as as you cant fill all the available spots over the weekend. Two hours later My husband called and asked for the admission process as if he is a new client and they confirmed the availability of free spots. I dont understand why they are doing that, saying yes there are free available spots and you get out of your work and then they say no. No transparency at all...... Im disappointed so does my husband. Im sure if I called tomorrow and asked, they will say yes come visit us we have available spots.

PARENTS BEWARE!!!!!! My son was at this daycare for several month and we witnessed some very disturbing behaviors on the part of the management and staff. My son is terrified of one teacher in particular ... I witnessed this teacher screaming, belittling and even getting physical with the toddlers. The owner spanks her own 2 year old on the site as well which is also telling as to why this sort of environment of fear and intimidation seems to be normal for them. My son started to develop some aggressive behaviors which we had never seen before and we knew it was time to leave. Your children will NOT be safe in this environment!

Wonderful school - my husband and I were thrilled to have our children at First Steps from infancy through kindergarten/K3. The teachers are experienced, caring, and focused on developing children as well as helping families balance the challenges of working life. Our children learned values, kindness, and academics on equal levels while the school provided parent-focused hours and communication about our kids days. We will always be grateful for the years our children were able to attend First Steps.
