Mclean Sport and Health is a terrific place to workout. Whether you have a beginner, intermediate, or an advanced level of experience working out, the Mclean S&H has a great atmosphere for everyone. Personally, I believe all the personal/fitness training, management, and front desk/custodial staff are very professional and will do their best to sort out concerns, questions, problems, or goals. I used to play college football and the personal training staff would help me identify and correct weaknesses in my lifts and mold me to become a more productive athlete. Currently, over the span of 65 days, in partial help with the training staff, I have lost 35 lbs, while maintaining my lean mass. From an athletes perspective, the personal training staff are distinctly respectable, knowledgeable, and professional in the area of exercise science and athletic performance. In addition, the Mclean S&H also provides a plethora of other amenities as well, from yoga and pilates to swimming and tennis training, the Mclean S&H is more than just a gym with weights and cardio equipment. As a member for almost 5 years, I can say that the Mclean S&H has a friendly and goal oriented atmosphere, that is evident from the management of this organization all the way down to the new member on their first day. I dont want to sound too much like a robot, but if you strive to reach physical goals, the hardest part is not the working out itself, it is maintaining your willpower to keep your diet in check and to consistently push yourself to reach your desired goal(s).

Great club. Listen/Look: Ive got no issue with Pure Barre or Core Power Yoga - but heres the thing - thats all you get - JUST barre or JUST yoga. Heres the deal - I need more than just one thing. In fact, I want it all: yoga, body pump, trainers, free weights & machines, and lots and lots of fancy cardio equipment with TVs so that youve forgotten that youre running or ellipting (not sure how to make elliptical a verb). And even though I want it all, Im a yogi at heart - thats my bread and butter. It takes a really unique club to be able to offer all the bells and whistles AND still provide quality yoga instructors - and I hesitate to advertise this for McLean S&H, because some of the classes I go to are already crowded (hint - DO: get there early/DONT: get there late and ask me to move) - but I really love the instructors here. Silvina and Kevin are great yoga instructors and I try not to miss a class. My yoga game has really progressed and I love the way my arms and abs look these days! On top of it all the facilities are always nice and clean, the Mind/Body room is very calming, the Cardio/Weight room is huge and has everything you would want and the staff is always very courteous and helpful.

I wish I could give this a 0. WORST sales team EVER. I asked for a generic price range and without me committing my valuable time to come in and tour the facility they could not even quote me the broadest of ranges. I do not know one business where the customer must go out of THEIR way to find out if the product/service is even an option for them. I am in sales and this absolutely absurd, I understand the motivation for the sales team to try and have me come in to tour their facilities so they can WOW me, but what is the point if the lowest monthly membership they offer is $120 and I can only afford $60? Kind of stupid sales tactic when an unsolicited potential customer becomes so enraged by the companys sales tactic that they hang up on the sales person. Some free marketing advice: in the age of digitization and the internet, the customer is looking for transparency, not some strong-armed sales pitch. If it was that hard to get a price from the company, god knows how difficult they will be when they dont have as much to gain from the conversation. I dont care how nice/cheap/convenient the facility, I will never step foot in Sport&Health Club: Regency.

I have been going here for over a decade, and I have nothing but positive things to say! The staff is absolutely amazing. They are so helpful, friendly, and always receptive to feedback. The gym provides so many amenities from swimming pools, tennis courts, to workout groups- just to name a few things. Not to mention, the gym is stacked with an assortment of cardio and weightlifting machines. The gym always seems to be adding new components from the latest workout machines to recently even a purified water fountain! Additionally, it doesnt hurt that the trainers are extremely helpful and always ready to answer questions. The atmosphere is so positive and supportive; I couldnt ask for a better gym! Again, I cannot emphasize enough on how spectacular the staff is since it is key component that has kept me such a satisfied member of this gym for so long.

Update: The response from the owner also did ABSOLUTELY nothing. I have been dealing with sports and health for months now. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THEM. Absolutely horrible! The gym is terrible and has horrible service. Totally overpriced and when trying to contact customer service, they tell you to complain through email and then you get a robot response back. They will lie to you to get you into a membership. The employees do not care about you, your health, or any crap they tell you. They just want to suck the money out of your bank account. So if youre ready to sign a contract with sports&health be ready for absolute ludicrous customer service. I will NEVER recommend sports and health to anyone from personal experience.

The clothing hooks formerly located near the restrooms were removed. In their place less than half of them were relocated to near the gym entrance. This was supposedly done because the old location was considered too secluded and subject to theft. If there had been a theft problem, I could understand the move. But there had been no notice that there was such a problem. The new location near the entrance to me creates more of a possible theft problem because the thief could exit the gym in a few steps. Also, the reduced number of clothing hooks will be woefully insdequate come the colder weather. Even now, benches for sitting are littered with items previously hung on hooks. More hooks...please.

I have been a member here since 2015, I joined with my one year old daughter. We are still enjoying this club and the membership. If I get lazy and think about skipping a day of work out my 3 year old now will tell me to go to gym because she loves the kids club because the staff is very friendly and professional. This club has plenty of classes and programs for different ages and fitness goals. One of my favorite programs is EP and Zone 4 what give me a good full body work out. I also love Yoga, hard drive and body pump class. It is a nice, clean and never over crowded facility.

I was greeted with very snooty customer service. I went with my partner last night to tour the facility because we recently moved into the area and the lady who was helping us was very rude. She spent the first 5 minutes interviewing us on our workout habits. Then she asked us what our excepted price was and told us that the gym "was out of our range". She didnt try to show us why the gym was worth its cost, but just waited for us to leave. It gave me the feeling that she either didnt feel like showing us the facilities, or didnt think we were worth her time.
