DO NOT USE HER SERVICES! We booked her as the planner for my daughters wedding, on May 20th. When we first met her, Sarah, told my husband, daughter, and myself that we wouldnt have to be concerned with anything thats why we were hiring her so that we could enjoy this day stress-free. Now, I do not know how she did not write that date on the contract and why she didnt bother to check the contract before April 28, 2017. She had an entire year to review that contract for accuracy, and yet she chose not to do so. Instead, she waited until four weeks before our daughters wedding to discover she had doubled booked herself. In Sarah’s attempt to rectify her mistake she asked another "planner" to take her place. They met with my daughter to look at the decor. At no time did I see the stand-in take any written notes but I did hear Sarah discuss with my daughter and her about the decor and set a date to meet at the venue to go over in detail where everything was to be set up and placed. On May 4, my daughter, the owner of the venue, myself, her stand in and Sarah met at the venue. My daughter walked with them and discussed the setup. Again, no notes were important enough to be written down. We were assured by Sarah several times that things would run smoothly. On the day of the rehearsal, we waited 25 minutes for her stand in to show up. It was then that three of my family members began to coordinate the rehearsal. They lined the wedding party up and executed this twice before the stand in showed up late. Her excuse was babysitting issues however she did not call to let anyone know. Then she asked what we had done, and she needed us to "run" through this again so that she could see how the line up was. She stayed for about 15 minutes and left. On Saturday, May 20, my husband arrived at early to see if she had accomplished anything. When he walked into the venue, everything was where it was exactly the previous evening. The site was open for her to begin the setup process at 9 am, she came at 11. She brought no one to assist her, and several things still needed to be done. She began to literally spin around in circles asking my husband, my son and anyone that would answer where she should place items. I was assisting my daughter and the bridesmaids and began to get several calls from them telling me that I needed to get to the venue to show her what to do. That is when I called Sarah. I do not know what she said in her conversation with the her but I can tell you, whatever was said was not helpful. As my anger began to rise, my family saw that they were needed to do what we hired Sarah to do. They immediately went to the venue and took charge of the setup. When they arrived, nothing was set up it was now 1 pm. After the ceremony and while we were at the reception, the stand-in went to where the girls had gotten ready to "clean-up". She threw everything into my daughters car. Hangers, boxes, suitcases, and shoes were everywhere in her car. She even threw a box of personalized champagne flutes, which my daughter had purchased, and broke my daughters flute. Every vendor, brought additional help, as they knew how important their job was to the success of the day. They fulfilled their commitment. Her stand-in was completely unprepared to do her job, and that is a reflection of Sarah. She was in charge and did nothing. Sarah assured us numerous times that we wouldnt have to worry that everything would be taken care of on this day. It was only because of my family that my daughters dream wedding became a reality. She should be ashamed of herself for conducting her business like this. Her " sorry" does not excuse her for a mistake that she made. It does not excuse the inept abilities of her stand-in. Her contract stated that she would provide the services and she did not. If you want a planner who pons your day off on someone else, then shes the one to hire.I emailed Sarah to let her know how upset I was with everything and she didnt seem to care as she hasnt responded. She doesnt deserve the one star I gave.

Sarah from Make it Posh Events was the wedding planner for our October 2015 wedding. My husband and I were reluctant to use a wedding planner, as we were on a tight budget for our tastes and style, but I am SO glad that we went with Make it Posh! We contracted with Sarah for her "partial planning" package. I was able to make most of the big decisions and did most of the planning, but she was an excellent "sound board" when I needed to make a decision, she attended vendor meetings with me, talked down prices with vendors on my behalf, gave me advice, became the primary contact for my vendors prior to the wedding day, and helped me prepare timelines. She also knew all of the right vendors to contact due to her extensive knowledge of the industry. This was way more than I could have ever received from a similar package from any other wedding planner in Richmond (and trust me, we looked long and hard for one!). Unlike many other planning companies, Sarah never gave us restrictions on how often we could contact her, and she was always available through email or phone very quickly throughout the entire 10 months prior to our wedding. Throughout the wedding weekend, I did not have to worry about anything falling into place--she handled it all for us and with our preferences in mind. She also helped deal with some of our more unruly guests and stepped in to solve any problems before I ever noticed. Our wedding would not have been such a perfect day had we not hired Sarah. Make it Posh Events is the best deal for wedding planning in the Richmond area, for sure!

Sarah was a dream come true! I lost my mother 4 months before my wedding, and Sarah went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure my day went PERFECT. She assisted me in pulling all my ideas/details together to get an overall southern elegant look. My wedding design turned out even more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Also, one vendor I selected did not fulfill all of their contractual responsibilities, and Sarah picked up the ball and made sure I did not know about the issue until after my wedding. She continued to assist me after my wedding to receive a refund back from my vendor that broke their contractual agreement. Sarah is the person that can pull of our your dreams together and make sure your wedding fits you and your groom!

Sarah is absolutely incredible to work with! She has now coordinated not only my wedding this summer, but my two older sisters in the past few years as well and we couldnt be more impressed! Sarah is incredibly knowledgable about everything wedding and her southern taste is impeccable! She helped our family so so much through these three weddings, helping everything go smoothly so we didnt have to worry about a thing. She is easy to work with and will go above and beyond to help give you your dream wedding day! Sarah is not only an amazing event planner, but now more like family! I would recommend her to anyone!
