DeStress Express consistently exceeds expectations! I routinely go for deep tissue massage as part of my chiropractic treatment for headaches. The combination is just right so that I have far fewer headaches than Ive ever had which makes life much better. DeStress is always warm and friendly - like visiting with family. Michelle is always attentive to any specific complaints and uses an arsenal of techniques to make sure the massage is the most effective it can be. Shes always studying some new massage approach, and I appreciate that its not a "one size fits all" approach. I feel like the treatment is unique to me and my needs. Been going there many years now and have never been disappointed in the least. Thank you DeStress - Michelle and the rest of the team!

Let me preface by saying Ive spent hundreds here as a loyal customer. I waited for 2 months on a wait list to see their "head masseuse". Following my massage I learned I had been badly burnt on my shoulder from a hot pack he left on too long. I couldnt feel how hot it was Bc he applied an analgesic cream prior to placing the heat. I immediately called the spa. I even sent them pictures of the burns and simply requested a refund. The owner didnt bother calling me back until the following mid day. She offered neither an apology not a refund and simply stated that there are "techniques" used in which burns can result. I paid $112 to be burnt?!?! I DONT THINK SO. Poorly run management. I will never ever be back and I highly warn others to find another spa!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I came in an had a couples massage last week! It was GREAT! She was happy and said "We will be back". I think that pretty much says it all, but for those looking for a more formal review...here is my take; The staff was completely friendly and professional without being overbearing or too cheery. The facility was nice, clean and there was a calming atmosphere that instantly place us into a relaxed state and started the appointment off just right. Our massage therapists were also extremely professional and welcoming. The entire appointment was GREAT! We experienced the 90 minute couples massage with hot foot treatment and we HIGHLY recommend it and will be back for another VERY soon!

Love my massages with Natasha as she is always pleasant, professional and gets the job done. She always asks me what I need and how I feel afterwards and provides a great experience. Not too fond of the new receptionist as he isnt very pleasant when scheduling. He replied on multiple occasions "mhm." And "yea." And doesnt say goodbye or have a good day when hanging up. (Im a huge advocate for customer service) Which is a big difference compared to the regular girl who answers the phone. But over all massage quality is great. And its a great relaxing experience once you get in the back.

I came in for my semi - annual "tune up" to address some neck & foot pain, as well as relaxation. Had a 2 hour massage and it was wonderful. The front desk staff matched me with a therapist that did more therapeutic work to help address my needs. The atmosphere is relaxing. They even have combs, spray, towels etc in the bathroom if youre a lady who needs to fix herself up afterwards hair / make up wise. I was yet to find a massage spa I was 100% satisfied with until coming here. This will be my "regular" place for tune ups and relaxation. Thanks!

If youre for a clinical environment - fluorescent lights and white walls - this is not the place to go. However, if youre looking a place to achieve inner peace and unknot your muscles w/o a bunch of new age nonsense, this is the place for you. Walking into Destress, youre apt to feel transported to a Zen garden, without the nagging feeling of being an intruder. The staff is friendly and each private session starts with a brief survey of your needs (knee pain? shoulder ache?). Dont be surprised if you fall asleep during a massage.

I came here yesterday only after not being able to see my regular therapist at Healthy Touch Therapeutic Massage (off of Thimble Shoals) My massage was good... but it wasnt as good as it is over there. I will be going back to them. You have a lovely facility. If you are looking for an excellent massage at a reasonable price, by skilled, friendly, massage therapists, then this is the place you want to go. I had my first experience two weekends ago, and I plan on coming back in the near future. The second you open the door, a wave of peace and serenity hits you and you just know, while you are there, you are about to have nothing but calmness in your life during your stay.

Ive been going to Destress since 2011 when I had my first massage before entering massage therapy school myself. I love the atmosphere and the different themes each room offers. The prices are some of the best you will find without effecting the quality of the massage. Each therapist has their own unique style, I encourage you to try another therapist here if you arent completely satisfied initially.

I love Destress Express! They provide excellent service - I strongly recommend Jodie Johnson for massage. The spa atmosphere is great; its in a quiet location with quiet neighbors so there is no road noise or pedestrian traffic that youll hear in any of the treatment rooms. Every visit Ive had has been wonderful and I try to go about once a month. Thank you Destress for your facility and your staff!

Wow..the exact same thing happened to my fiancee Shannon. She went in for a massage and came home looking like she had been pressed with an iron. She used to love this place too. I am not sure if they have had a change in personnel recently, but its definitely a spa to avoid for the time being! Also the manager was not very receptive or polite when she called either. Unbelievable.

Ive been going to Destress Express for over a year now and love it. Staff is friendly and massages hit the spot. Im an athlete with all kinds of aches and pains so I know I can see Kat I can walk out feeling rejuvenated. Depending on what type of massage you need theyve got someone that can take care of you! Wont be going anywhere else on the Peninsula for my massage needs.

I have been a customer here for several years and it is the best by far. The staff is very knowledgeable and nice. The atmosphere is what you would expect from an ultra high dollar spa but the prices are really good. It is clean and they always make you feel comfortable and important. For some reason I keep trying new places and I still come back because they are that good.

I am so thankful I have found Destress Express and Kat! I continue to go as frequently as I can afford. I get such great results from my deep tissue massages and know that after each session, my stress and tension have been melted away. I love the casual, relaxed atmosphere and the uniquely themed/decorated rooms. I am always recommended Destress each opportunity I can.
