Thee worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. My appointment was at 7am no one was there. I called both numbers and they went to the same voicemail. I left and came back around 9am and the owner which is the person I made my appointment with was servicing two other ladies. She claimed that she forgot my appointment because her phone was dead. I have no idea what her work phone has to do with her personal phone being dead and her clientele not being able to reach her during hours when she is actually working but thats how bad her customer service is. She claimed that she would be able to start BRAIDING my hair in 45 mins and in that time she took on a walk in which I felt was poor management of time being as though she already had two people during the time that I was supposed to be getting braids and had not even started servicing me. She did not take me within 45 mins and I waited an hour and 13 mins before leaving. Prior to me leaving she did inform me of the price for the service. She was not trying to compensate me for her wasting my morning and inconveniencing my whole day so I left which didnt seem to phase her at all. And as we all know compensating someone is far more than a monetary gesture but also involves treatment and accommadation. I have no problems with anyone providing a service for me running late or having an emergency because I know that things happen. But being absent and running late are two completely different things. Im sure she does good work when shes not forgetting appointments and take on walk-ins when she hasnt even began servicing the clients she already has waiting but the fact that she cant keep up with her appointments, refuses to answer any of her phones, and lacks professionalism it is simply not worth it. Just save yourself the headache and dont come here until she finally can grasp the concept that calendars, paper, pencils, pens, styleseat, etc. is societys best friend.

Ive had my braids done at this shop for probably at least 5 years now maybe once or twice each year and I too have had a few times where I would arrive and the shop would be closed or the stylist wouldnt be there and I would have to wait like an hour to get my hair done. This wasnt a huge deal for me because the owner would always compensate me for my time by discounting my style so overall the experience was okay for me so I referred my friend here and she did experience more of the same with the scheduling issue but in her case so wasnt compensated. Due to the extent of the poor service and lack of respect for their customers that my friend experienced I will not be returning. She stayed long enough that you had the discussion with her about what you would be able to do for her time so she gave you that opportunity. As a past loyal customer Im okay with spending the time to write a review because your responses show that you dont take your customers time and concerns seriously. Every complaint for your business is about scheduling issues and your companys lack of concern for the customers time and instead of correcting this you would rather go back and forth. Own it and fix it. Ive spent good money with your business because you and your ladies do great work but great work doesnt replace good customer service. Its clear that there is an issue and youll continue to lose business until the professionalism is addressed. Have a blessed day.

They closed down the Virgina Beach location. The female there use to do my dreads really good her name was Kim. So I went to the one in Newport News. I really needed my hair done so I took a chance. That was the worst decision Ive made thus far. If she didnt know how to do dreads she shouldve said so. She was in a rush. Asked for money before she was done. Left out while I was under the dryer. I didnt see how it looked until i got in my truck. Feeling thru my dreads she missed alot of them and they not re-twisted. She used clear gel on my dreads. Cause its flaking up. They coming undone. I got them done with her none dread twisting self on friday. This Sunday and it looks like it did when I went in to get them done. They lucky Im a calm guy and didnt go back in and show out. But my daughter couldve done a better job. It was only $55 so Im not tripping. But wont ever go there again. Ill rather cut my dreads off before going here again. Dont go here for dreads cause they suck. Well at least the stylist that I went to did. She needs to have her license taken away. Her name is Ziearre. I guess thats how you spell her name. Go to Da Knotty Roots. I use to go there but they always booked up weeks in advance.
