Edit: 5 Feb. 2017 - I walked in today to cancel my membership. It had nothing to do with the gym, although now it does. I was told "the person who can do that, she isnt here, she doesnt work on weekends." Nope, not even remotely OK. So, if I understand this, one of two things just happened: either I was lied to which is BS and a bad business tactic, or there are no managers on weekends... which is a bad business tactic. Please tell why I should award bad business with my money. You and I are done. Also, you never fixed the wobbly tables upstairs and the wasp nests on the windows, which means you either dont read this or dont care. -end edit. I go there for the personal training mostly. I do my workouts and leave, the facilities are adequate from what I have seen. This may seem like a very dry review, but it is only because my membership isnt an emotional experience for me. Here is how you may get that fifth star: -The table supports for the three tables on the second deck, they are loose. Turn the tables over and tighten those screws. -There is a large hornets nest on the outside of the large window closest to the mats on the second deck where the kettle bells are kept. A loud noise or vibration will set them to kill-mode and sting people. Kill them and display their tiny bodies as a warning to all other hornets. -The right side water fountain (second deck) has a malfunctioning bottle filler. It flows at a trickle and that can be frustrating. - For whatever reason, the two times I have asked to update something on my profile in your system, I am "very hard to find". I have tried to update my CC in your system, but I cannot be found. I am sure you enjoy getting paid, so lets work on that too.

I was a member here for 2 and a half years. Unfortunately the gym seems to have gone downhill since the switch to One Life, or maybe its because theyve gotten too big. The gym is VERY beautiful inside. Lots of equipment and is very spacious. As another reviewer said, customer service is the pits. There are trainers everywhere on the weight floor, and I personally found them to be a bit unprofessional. I feel like they change the class schedule WAY too much, so just as you get into a routine they move your favorite (popular) class to a different time, change to a different instructor, or cancel the class altogether. I noticed that many of the really good instructors have been disappearing...is it because they see the gym going downhill too? Cancelling is going to be a bear, as supposedly there is only ONE employee that you can talk to to fill out the necessary form, and no one at the front desk with give you the form to fill out. I have a feeling I will need to put a fraud alert on my account for future charges. HEADACHE!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would! I was in the navy stationed in Norfolk from 2012 -2016 I have been a onelife member for 3 of those years. I recently separated and wanted to cancel my membership. Everytime I went in person to cancel the people in the front desk kept telling me the cancelation member wasnt there. I called multiple times to speak to this person and they always told me he wasnt there or speaking to a client and left my phone number multiple times and no response. My time finally came and it was time for me to leave and I attempted to reach this person one last time, a women at the front desk took my bar code, phone number, name ect, to give to the person I had to reach and nothing. They are charging me still and I emailed and they did nothing to help. This place is NOT military friendly VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! JUSTIN JOHNSON is very unprofessional does not reply to emails nor phone calls horrible service. If your in the navy/MILITARY and your about to separate I seriously dont recommend this place just stick to Q80.

Hi everyone! If youre planning on canceling your gym membership before you die, or having your heirs not be responsible for a bill even though youre dead, then keep looking! Did you know that your relationship with the gym is the same as a lease? I sure didnt! So there I was, signing on for a year and figuring that meant all I would need to do after the year was over was call up and cancel. Nope! Apparently my year contract became a month-to-month contract when it expired. Here I am, across the country, and I just got hit with a $60 bill (two memberships) for a gym Im not within a thousand miles of, and I have to send a letter within 20 days of the next billing cycle or I get charged again! "Well, its part of the contract you signed!" Youre right, OneLife. Its my own fault for signing on with a sleazy company. Apparently they plan on keeping me lean and mean by taking my food money, because I can totally spare $60 for a gym membership I cant even use after a cross-country move. Thanks, OneLife! Always looking out for me!

This gym is fantastic. The architecture alone makes this one of my new happy places. The class schedule is nice and packed and has various options in the gorgeous rooms on the top floor. It is worth waking up early just to watch the sunrise from the windows in those studios. There is tons of equipment to work out with, open spaces to lay a mat, and the employees always greet me with a smile. The member group is diverse, male, female, younger, older, and at various levels of fitness, which oddly makes it feel less intimidating and more communal. The “Cinema” is awesome, full of treadmills facing a large screen playing whatever movie they have that day. The locker room and shower area is always clean and very nicely put together to compliment the building. Overall, I love this gym. More parking down the road would only make it better, as I imagine during "New-Years Resolution" season it will be packed!

I really enjoyed the Gym. The facility is excellent. BEWARE- They make it extremely difficult to cancel your membership. Ive moved out of the area and they wont allow you to cancel your membership via phone or email. Even though Ive emailed them that Ive moved and wanted to cancel, they require you to send a certified letter through the mail and will only cancel the member 30 days after they receive the letter. Im spending my Saturday morning typing a cancellation letter to Onelife fitness instead of spending time with family. Their ridiculous cancellation policy will make me think twice about becoming a member when we move back to the area. Too bad because it really is a nice gym. Short sighted cancellation policy ruins it.

This is a great gym, but I just find it too expensive. If I had another gym I could go to I would, but this my only choice. Price is really my only complaint. $30 a month is obnoxious plus the annual fee which I believe was $40. The chiropractor there is AMAZING, though also expensive. The personal training was $200 for 4 sessions. I thought they were an hour each, but nope- a half hour...again thinking this place is a rip off. It was fine for this time, but I wouldnt do it again. But overall: clean, friendly staff, amazing chiropractor, yummy smoothie bar, lots of classes to choose from...
