My experience with Planet Fitness in Ephrata started as a 5 star Ended as a 0 star: The physical equipment there is in good working order, anything that was broken was quickly fixed. The front door staff knew me by name so I didnt have to scan in. I had a personal trainer that was there for me, was personable and really cared to help me meet my aggressive weight loss goal. If the roads were impassable in the mornings I would get a call to reschedule. This awesome trainer moved on to a location that was closer and was replaced by someone who did not want to be there. I felt like I was judged by this person for wanting to lose weight, was not personable at all, and did not care about me or my desire to be healthy. For the last 3 months of my time with PF this trainer called in sick, missed appointments, or failed to call to let me know they were not available. So I was stuck trying to go it alone and ended up hurting myself because of not knowing proper form. When I finally stopped signing up for training this trainer came back and completely blew me off each and every time I attempted to talk with them. The last day that I was there I asked the trainer point blank, in front of another employee, what the issue was, Why I was being ignored didnt receive any notification about the missed appointments. To which this employee verbally assaulted me stating that I had no motivation and I made the day Utterly HORRIBLE everyday that I was there. I had been an every day 5am, and as far as I knew this was the only employee that I had made enemies with. Will I go back to any planet fitness: Not likely.

Planet fitness was horrible towards me not only did they not explain the contract I signed well enough they also didnt explain to me that randomly in june they would take out an additional $39 yearly fee. They took this fee out and I didnt have any money in my account. It had almost been a year since I have had my planet fitness membership and I was planning on canceling. They charged me the $39 to renew for another year even though I signed up in July. This overdrew my bank account and I had to pay tons of fees on the overdraw. Not only this but planet fitness than refused to refund me my money even though I wouldnt be going to that gym anymore. They are a bunch of money grubbing crooks their equipment is shoddy and they only have one fitness trainer who of course isnt there when you need him or is too busy to help you out. You are better off going on the Atkins diet or buying dance dance revolution and playing at home than going to this poor excuse for a gym. NEVER AGAIN...

Ive been a member of the Ephrata Planet Fitness since it opened. I have been a fitness freak for over 30 years and have belonged to many gyms (chain and local). The staff are very friendly, know my name, greet me with a smile EVERY time I come in. The equipment is kept clean and serviced above any other gym Ive belonged to. Stuff breaks but they FIX it. They have a bank of 16 flat screen TVs and Ive never seen a single one of them having problems. I dont need a trainer, a day care, a spinning class, or free towels. I need available equipment that works and hours that suit me, a locker and a shower. Thats all I use when I got charged $40 per month and thats what I now get for $10 per month. Im not a New Years resoluton member - probably their most active member so I feel my opinion is valuable. If you need all of the extra stuff go pay $40+ a month and enjoy. If youre at my gym and youre paying $10 and complaining about it .... good luck with life.

I have been a member at the Ephrata Planet Fitness for about 6 months and I love it. I have visited other locations and none of them had the same feel. This location had the best equipment and the nicest staff. Sometimes you do have a bunch of kids in jeans show up hang out around equipment, but it isnt too often. I have a black card membership so I pay $20/month and can bring guests, tan for free, use the massage chairs for free, and get half off cooler drinks. Once a year they do take a $39 fee out on this plan. Mine was just taken out June 1st. This is just an annual fee, kind of like an enrollment fee, but smaller. It guarantees your price to be locked. I used to pay $48/month and had a $99 enrollment at my old gym. They had just raised my monthly fees, so I left and came to Planet Fitness. Overall, this is a great gym to go to and I will continue going here. You cant beat it!

I joined PF last year and was immediately impressed by the reasonable price and the available equipment. They have at least 20 treadmills, 20 elliptical machine, and a whole raft of weight machines. Along with that, there are free weights and a cool Curves-like circuit training area, Add a helpful and friendly staff and you have a nearly perfect place to work out. No muscle-bound boneheads snickering. Just great attitudes. A great place. Im staying.

Ive been a member of Planet Fitness for several years now and am always greeted by name when I get there. Im so regular that I dont even need to give them my number anymore. Broken equipment gets fixed fairly quickly and every single one of the employees are amazing. The managers are top notch and have dealt very professionally with any problems that arise. And how can you beat the monthly price?

Was disappointed in the professionalism in which Brandon the manager handled buisness, I also go to another location and management is much better!. Although I do really like the rest of the staff I feel Brandons behavior was UNACCEPTABLE ! especially for a manager;(

I enjoyed my membership here. Its a little awkward that you must cancel in person (since lets face it, everyone cancels at some point), but the equipment was good, and most days things were in good order. Most of the staff is polite and friendly, too.
