I am in full agreement with the last post about the staff. when I signed up, i was ASSURED that anyone on staff could show me how to use equipment etc. The first day I met with their "trainer". He set me up on a routine, but I would have to make more appts. to be shown how to use the equipment. I didnt really mind, since I was ASSURED any staff member would help me with that. On my first visit to workout, i immediately asked the young man behind the counter if he could show me how to work some of the equipment. He said he could not leave the front because he was the only one there. As i was leaving, he told me he would not be alone tomorrow and he could show me how to operate the equipment then. The next day, I asked the same guy to help me out. He said his boss was there-somewhere- and when she came back, he would come find me. NEVER HAPPENED That day, as I was doing my workout, i had questions about different machines, etc. I again went to the counter, this time a young girl was also behind it. I asked her which piece of equipment was written on my workout routine form because it did not match any names on the actual equipment. She said she didnt know, then proceeded to nudge the young man behind the counter to answer me. I was very hesitant to join, knowing you always get the sales pitch and once you sign everything is different. I really felt with all their "no gymtimidation" etc. that they were on the up and up. I was seriously mistaken.

Ive traveled around the East Coast and this Planet fitness is by far one of the best in Roanoke and the East coast. The equipment is up to date, and the equipment is kept in good working condition. Also the place is kept clean. Ive been to other Planet fitness in New york and Pennsylvania where the machines were not updated and they didnt work right because they werent fixed and were old. Seeing this made me notice and really appreciate this Planet fitness in Towers Mall. Regular Customer for 5 yrs now

For 10 dollars how can you complain, the staff is nice enough never had any problems. The place has everything u need to get into shape and stay in shape. Ive been going there for a month and it has worked out well and i have been lifting for years. Every time I leave the staff tells me to have a nice day so what else do u need its a gym u work out and leave. For my 10 dollars i feel like im stealing but if i can do everything i need to for 10 dollars and they are fine with that so am I.

Lied to me over the phone. Told me you can come and try out the gym since its your first time. Never said anything about money. When I got there, a guy said I had to pay $20 to use the equipment. He said it was an all-day pass. I tried to explain someone told me on the phone I could try the gym out and the guy just absolutely would not listen. He kept interrupting me too. I wont go here ever again to Planet Fitness if thats how theyre going to do things. I just walked out.

I recently broke my right leg and ankle rendering me unable to use my membership at planet fitness. When I called to cancel, I was advised that cancellations cannot be made by phone call. When I stated I would contact my credit card company and stop payment, I was told I certainly could do that, but I would still rack up monthly payments until the I or someone else came into the building and cancelled. Poor policy....but, they would make no exceptions. Marcus Jones

For the price its okay. Its no golds but its cheaper. It could use more free weights and less cardio machines. Literally half the place is treadmills. You can go outside and run you dont need that many. No bench stands set up. Only actuall free weight is dumbells. Would recommend to lose weight but would not recommend for gaining muscle. Not enough equipment to do it right.

I enjoyed my membership there and just re-upped after dropping for about a year. I always found the place clean and never too crowded. The equipment was in good shape. Staff was always helpful to me. The Towers location is convenient for me. Good value for what boils down to about $16.58/month.

Its the most affordable gym I can find. All the equipment is in great shape. If youre the kind of person who wants to be left alone and not bothered, this is the gym for you. If you need someone to tell you what exercises to do, and show you how to use everything, I would recommend another gym

Going here for a while with husband and we both like it. Everybody who works there and goes there has been respectful and nice. Most of the machines are in good condition and all work. The price and facility very much meets our needs as we just do cardio and some strength training.

Nice location. Fully equipped, nice locker rooms, friendly helpful staff, good truck parking, but the tabbing equipment is out dated...most PF have upgraded to the sunrise 480s and the showers are not the best...but altogether good and definitely worth the money for you locals.

The worse Gym you will EVER join maybe curso in price but Its also cheap in how the staff treat you they never help you when you need if you are thinkin about joining dont you would be better on you own at home using the biggest loser or just walking

I really love working out here. It is a gym centered on a nonjudgmental attitude so it certainly is a non threatening environment. This encourages me to come to the gym more often and to also try new work outs that I would not try otherwise.

If I could give Planet Fitness 0 stars I would! By far the worst gym I have ever encountered! Will continue to draft your account after you cancel, charge random fees to your account and do nothing to rectify the issues. Despicable place.

Very easy to get to, clean and has everything I need it to have. Very friendly staff too. Membership is affordable and the ability to bring a guest and yourself for $20/month 24/7 is well worth it.

Great atmosphere. Love the no gymtimidation!! You cant beat a workout, tan and massage daily for $20 a month and you can bring a guest everyday! Its great and the staff are super nice!

Staff unhelpful. Will not cancel membership unless in person or by certified mail. Seems a little excessive. Certified mail. I mean really? A phone call will not suffice.

Great gym, the only down fall, is the showers need improvement. Im a GC, you have the space, all you need is a renovation of your men shower & locker area.

For a gym this inexpensive it is very nice. However, the hours could stand to be extended since when i signed my contract it was for a 24 hour gym.
