My name is Christine and I was in the Suffolk Main Street post office last Saturday, February, 4, 2017 and had an OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. Not realizing the closing time, I went in and even though I was a minute or so late, I was greeted with a smile and pleasantness by GINA. While apologizing for my tardiness, I explained that I was mailing a Valentine card to my great-niece before going out of town. As I explained with enthusiasm, it was the first time my niece would be receiving official mail. Unlike most postal representatives, I would have been told to come back another day. However, GINA illustrated much compassion for me and allowed me to mail my package. While I did not know GINAs name until last week, I have previously noticed her customer service skills, courtesy, knowledge and can-do attitude when working with the public. I am sure I speak for other customers as well, GINA is a true professional and is definitely an ASSET to the US Postal Service. Thank you again GINA Respectfully, Christine

This is the worst Post Office there ever was. The mail carrier admitted that he took it upon himself to send all my family mail back to everyone. They said the house was vacant. The house has never been vacant. My family has lived here for seven years. I have six claims against them at the main office in Washington DC and they still send my mail back. They have sent all my Christmas packages back and they are setting at the post office where they came from. They told me they will send them back to me. Well they have been there for almost a month and still nothing. The lady there is so rude and most of the time will not acknowledge you are there. They really need to get some younger help in there. I have no problem with seniors working but when they dont know what they are doing it is time to change. Especially with things as important as the mail.

Horrible-I have not received any mail in over the last months and half. and I even sent myself a card 3 days ago and I still have not received that either. And I have lived in my house for over 4 years. And i never had this problem before. And every time I have called the Post office there is never an answer. It is a federal crime to tamper with someones mail and god forbid I find out that the post man or someone at the post office is not delivering my mail on purpose there will be hell to pay on top of charges.

The city of Suffolk 23434 division of the USPS is sub par at best. One of the worst things about living in the area, you never know when your postal worker will skip your house, or not even ring your doorbell before marking that you werent home to receive your packages. The physical location is typically understaffed with arrogant employees that think they know everything. I feel bad for the few people that work there that are actually worth a hell because they get outshined constantly by the others misdeeds

final entry: I have lived in three other countries and had mail service in a number of others. I can positively say that with all of its faults the US Post Office does a hell of a great job overall and is less expensive then about every industrial country that I am aware of. When I was in Australia the PO went on strike for almost THREE MONTHS. Only official federal mail was delivered. Think about that!

A package was being delivered to my house on a friday. I call USPS on Thursday since my tracking number says they received it early. The man and woman answering the phones said it would be available for pickup first thing Friday morning. I call to make sure its ready for me to pick up, and they refuse to give me the package. its ridiculous to lie to your customers about picking up their items.

I called the toll free number to ask why my mail wasnt pick-up on a Saturday? The women only gave me rude service the whole time on the phone, I believe this is another reason why were losing so much at the Post Office. This is just another Government agency thats bleeding RED!!

A terribly managed post office, & lazy employees..from drivers driving around for two days (past delivery date) with my package in the back of the truck .. and today delivering to the wrong house,causing the package to be forwarded..worst post office ive ever dealt with !

This overstressed location is sinking! Poor Customer Service..Clerk....Gary is a Postal Nazi. Really has previous personal relationships left you this bitter??? Get a Life...its only MAIL! And why have a contact number when no one evers answers the phone???

This post office needs to be torn down and built in a less congested area. Nearly impossible to make a left turn out of the parking lot due to traffic and theres no traffic light. Parking lot is poorly designed.

Ride , not helpful , phone rang busy everytime I call no matter what time or how many times i call , wouldnt let me get my package for a week after it was a missed delivery

I cannot wait to move. Im tired of not getting my mail when it should be delivered. Our postal worker likes to just skip houses.
